Re: QL Tinkering
My BBQL has Minerva, so that must have been why it wasn't an issue there. Qemulator is default JS. Do you know if German MGG ROM is ok with integer? It said "SYNTAX-FEHLER", hence no... I believe the MG ROM isn't much different from JS apart from a few bug fixes and foreign language suppo...

Re: QL Tinkering
If you have a Minerva ROM or SMSQ/E, SELect can take integer variables.NormanDunbar wrote:Bingo!
SELect requires a floating point variable. I'd completely forgotton about that. At keast, on a BBQL it does. Jan Jones said so!

Re: QBOX BBS for TCP/IP released!
Hi, I am testing the connection between my Q68 (using Simulant Retro Wifi) and a PC running QPC2 (under wine) and QBOX . To do this I am using QLterm that it is limited to "old" speed capacity 300/600/1200 etc when I need to have 38400/57600 and 115200, I tried to amend the sbas prog QLte...

Re: Tandata Modem BT plug to RJ11
I used to use Jan's QCON driver with a Amstrad SM2400 conneced to the Qconnect RS232 Interface, which I initially used QEM v4.25 terminal software: http://www.dilwyn.me.uk/internet/qem425.zip Which allows non-ponter interface use of the terminal software and is similiar to QTPI, but QTPI has had mo...

Re: Tandata Modem BT plug to RJ11
Thanks Jan for your suggestions. I tried also QTPI with QL+SGoldard+Minerva and QL+Trumpcard, with or without Sermouse. The progeam starts, but it is impossible to move the mouse arrow, even with the arrow keys. Apparently it does not react to any keyboard imput. Doesn't it respond to function keys...

Re: Tandata Modem BT plug to RJ11
Thanks for your help. I'll investigate about Hayes command set support. I do have the full stack. Anyway, it has beeen stored in a box for years and there is always the possibility it is defective... You might try my QCON driver to connect a Hayes-compatible modem to the Qconnect interface: http://...

Re: ZX81 BASIC
In ZX Basic, the AND operator just means 'if second operand is nonzero then take first operand as result, else 0'. This even goes for strings, a command like 'PRINT "hello" AND X' prints "hello" if X is nonzero and the empty string if X is zero. This cannot be reproduced on the Q...

Re: Yet Another Software Question
Hi All, The SMSQ/E manual page 29 mentions the possibility of using the keyword PIPE to communicate between EXed programs. PIPE is not a keyword but a device. Basically, it's a queue which you can write data ('PRINT') to by one job and input data from by another job. It's a bit tricky to use from B...
Re: QL-SD ROM
Sensational! You've just opened new doors... If I remember correctly, the 768K Trumpcard (and clones) compromises the use of ROM port, or am I wrong? IIRC the Trump card only monitors a (first) access to the ROM port by the CPU to page in its extension ROM at $C0000 (note: not $C000) so the QL find...

Re: Can we learn from Amiga OS?
Oh dear - seems that something goes wrong when I edit a quoted reply - the forum software keeps adding quotes, even my own text got quoted!
