I found the following sentence in another forum: "The 15.6V AC can be replaced with anything 14 - 17V AC at about 2A. The 9V DC can be anything from about 7.5V to 12V DC, 1.5A on an unexpanded QL and 2A on an expanded QL." Is it true? Or will this overheat the 7805 regulator or other parts?

Yes, it is probable. Tipically, also the cartridge felt pad is damaged. Fortunately it can be replaced and sometimes the data can be recovered.

Hi, According to the Minerva documentation, Minerva accelerates 98% speed of Lightning. Minerva ROM does not accelerate text mode; on the other hand, Speedscreen (and also Lightning I suppose) does accelerate the text display very much.
