Re: New release Minerva4Q68 v1.3

I'm currently busy installing a new mobile. If this is done, I hope I will remember this thread.

Am I right, that Minerva for the Q68 now supports the native resolution of 1024x768? for the Q68 (as on uQLx)? This would be great!

Re: sQLux v1.0 (The Xmas Turkey)

That's unfortunately not a solution. Assume the following scenario: I create the new Project "My Do What I am Thinking App" (MDwIaTA - BTW: Are the caps correct in British English?). Of course I must create the project in my project directory on my "hard disk". So I must e.g. (DA...

Re: sQLux v1.0 (The Xmas Turkey)

OPEN_OVER is a TK2 command and thus not standard available in Minerva. My example states clearly: 110 Requires SuperToolkit 2 ;-) But in the meantime I was able to start UQLX on my old PC :-D And XorA is right, UQLX supports overwrite on the WIN device. What is not supported is creating directories...

Re: sQLux v1.0 (The Xmas Turkey)

This looks nice :-) I must test this on my uQLx (installed on my former main PC), cause I'm nearly sure it does not work. But try the "COPY" example (to an existing file) to be sure that overwrite works (on a WIN device, of course it works on RAM disc). As (without TK2) overwrite was not s...

Re: sQLux v1.0 (The Xmas Turkey)

Question (haven't used uQLx [from Richard] a long time). Does the current version finally supports the IO.OPEN Trap#2 with bit 3 (overwrite) set? Do you have a simple test case for this? It should be sufficient to create a new file from SuperBASIC, and then try to OPEN_OVER from SuperBASIC: 100 REM...

Question (haven't used uQLx [from Richard] a long time). Does the current version finally supports the IO.OPEN Trap#2 with bit 3 (overwrite) set? My version doesn't :-( But it seems not to be such a big problem :-) Because the MicroDrives (w.o TK2) also didn't support overwriting, most programs (e.g...

Re: QL Technical Guide as E-Book (PDF) or online?

Wow! The PDF is great :-) I haven't looked for typos (this could be a problem as in the German translation of the second edition of Stroustrups "The C++ Programming Language"), but the Layout is superb. Finally you click on the arrow down/up to get to the next/previous page. Wasn't there a...

Exactly my hero :-)

p.s.: Dilwyn´s page is now so huge, that it's difficult to find that stuff you are looking for. Well done!

QL Technical Guide as E-Book (PDF) or online?

Is the Technical Guide available as E-Book (e.g. PDF) or online?

If not, would it be okay to scan it and publish it?

Re: Too many parameters/locals bug

Hi Steve, ... Tested under QDOS on SGC, (but used to run ok on 128ko). Define the main routine however you require ! Seems to be a nice trick! But it works because, SB-variables are different from C locals (see my example from c't magazine) and as Norman approved. BTW: (At least) In Python it's poss...
