Re: QLUB Adapter - Initial Release...

The principal design just needs a means of byte-serial communications with the world 'outside' the emulator in a near real-time manner using whatever QDOS driver is available within the emulation environment in question. It is a pity that Java - and thus SMSQmulator - make it difficult/impossible t...

Re: QLUB Adapter - Initial Release...

but as you emphasize open source for your project, the dependency on proprietary / closed-source emulators is a bit sad. Yes, and in the same vain we should strive to improve the MiSTer core to the point where we don't have to rely on the closed source Q68 for an SMSQ/E FPGA core in the future :D :...

Re: QLUB Adapter - Initial Release...

Hi Martyn, although I don't have enough time for non-68K microcontroller projects like Arduino myself, I find this idea excellent! Especially for the fact that it supports everything from lowest-end QLs up to QXL and Q68! I've read your documents with joy and can only wish this nice project a lot of...

Re: New (to me) Q40!

So not the PCB design, the cheap and nasty components fitted. Oh no, I do not mean the design (of course not). I have seen, that the ISA connectors were from different manufacturers. No problem, if they are in good quality, but as you have written, they are not. Perhaps it would be worth a try to g...

Re: Q68 QoE Ethernet Driver

For most of the year I have been working on an Ethernet driver for the Q68. Its not finished, but I thought that I would release one of the development versions for people to try, and to get some user feedback on any problems seen. Many thanks Martin for your enormous work! And again my apologies f...

Yes, and that was already the Q60 PCB, also. Just that the 68060 was still so expensive, I decided to start with the 68040.

You can use: M48T02-70PC1 or M48T02-150PC1
In stock at the major distributors like Mouser, etc. If you like, I can get one for you, the next time I order something anyway.

Re: New (to me) Q40!

A few more questions spring to mind... What do the yellow stickers indicate (1.0?) IC reference designator and logic version. Are the lithium Timekeeper battery/RAM devices known to leak at all? No. The m/b says V2, so how does it differ to V1? V1 was the prototype. It was a two-layer board and wor...

Re: Q40 and Q60 video controller for flatscreen monitors

Could you supply this updated chip to me? I can program them, but my stock of chips has become small. Would it be okay to re-program the chip you have? I don't have a CRT VGA monitor and I don't mind some blackness - better than a line or 2 of missing text. Unfortunately not just a few lines, it's ...
