Re: Today I Received...
To XorA : I guess I will also test this one soon. What is actually slow about its full sreen display ? Takes a long time comparitvely speaking to write the screen update to video ram under xorg. A delay that does not happen if running on console without xorg. It may still be faster than BBQL, I hav...

Re: Today I Received...
For the Pi0 sQLux (based on uqlx) can run fullscreen on the console (without X11) and is pretty fast.
Unfortunately the lack of proper GL support under X11 makes it quite slow in that mode, but still can do fullscreen!
[note: I am biased as I wrote the code to do that]

Re: Writing Gotek QL Image Disks
I downloaded the latest, and was compiling for osx. I think I mailed you about it. https://github.com/SinclairQL/qltools or https://github.com/NormanDunbar/qltools are where you should be getting the source from. The current version is 2.15.6 and writes dd/hd/ed images at full size as opposed to 2....

Re: QL / PASCAL
If that were to happen, my guess is that, over time, SMSQmulator and possibly uQLx would soon offer 608020+ capability. Then the retro's could be left alone to do their thing with the tools that are already available (thats the whole point, right?) and the remainder could move on to pastures green....

Re: QL on the Raspberry Pi...?
the Pi5 is coming, Eben Upton said so recently. He's not giving much else away though. The major complaint about Pi4 is even though it has PCIe it doesn't support NVMe storage, so that is my prediction. Plus faster 64bit cores. The Rockchip devices I have which use NVMe as storage are really useful...

Re: QL on the Raspberry Pi...?
It wasnt the SMSq/e license that's the issue, its just with it being a slightly odd license I am loath to put in time for major new features especially if I was to cheat and use libraries to supply some/all of them! What's odd about the BSD licence? Edit: OK, I now think this is about the uQLx lice...
