I have just fixed a ql which had a blown ula but the only other problem is that someone before has broken the socket that the wires go into to power the power and microdrive leds does anyone know if this part is available anywhere.

I have a dual floppy drive and a spare gotek drive I was going to use it by swapping one floppy drive out putting the gotek in so I can transfer software off the gotek to a floppy.
My question is what do I need to put on the USB pen drive so the ql will recognize it.

Just got hold of a pcml q+ Disk interface I know they either came with 0k,64k,128k or256k of ram does anyone know how I find out what I have got on mine.

hi would like to check out the power supply just in case it is that causing the problems I did find the other day someone who showed a picture of the inside of the power supply showing what voltages they should get off the numbered points of the transformer but now I need it I cant find it has anyon...

hi C40 is showing 12.31v and 0v so that looks ok.

I have tried what it says in the ql service manual about no sinclair screen and tested D26,C41,C38 and C42 which all checked out apart from D26 which instead of showing 12v is showing 21.5v.

I have replaced the regulator which is now showing correct voltages and it now tuned in but only to a black screen.

I am going to try and get a regulator today once installed which points on the board are best to test next

It is a standard one fixed to the heatsink but would this of caused any more damage elsewhere if it's putting out too much volts.
