Re: q-liberator

Some great news today. I have spoken with Adrian Soundy who is over from New Zealand and has been speaking with Ian Stewart whilst he has had the opportunity. Both Adrian and Ian (Liberation Software Limited) have now agreed that all of their products - QLiberator, QLOAD and QREF can now be release...

Re: FSEND_EVENT

I am in the process of updating a manual of QPC2 keywords, that I made some time ago. I am having trouble finding documentation on FSEND_EVENT. I guess it's a function tied to the SEND_EVENT command. Can anyone tell the exactly how it works, and what is it's syntax. Thanks in advance Martin I'd alw...

Re: Announcement - new QL Interface

...only the MD driver is needed in 128k mode for let original titles that was made for 128k QL's only can works properly. That fix for v2.17c is easy to do (ie. once RAM size found for banner, just return if 128K without adding anything). I'll propose change to MK and see if original author is OK w...

Re: Minerva boards...

Sounds like a useful idea for a simple project.

1. Is it for Minerva Mk1 or Mk2 or both? (Don't know what the original Mk2 boards were like)

2. Would the battery back up coexist happily with e.g. the one on Super Gold Card?

Re: QL Homepage Is Back!

Then make yourself a toasted cheese sandwich, and go sit in the back of your closet with a good book, the sandwich, a torch and some spare batteries. You'll feel like a kid again. I recommend 'C' by Kernighan and Ritchie. It's a riveting read! OK, I'll try that - but your fault if I come out speaki...

Re: QL Homepage Is Back!

The lack of the website has caused a lot of discomfort to a lot of people. It's the glue that ties everything together. I'm sorry you're feeling jaded. Why not go for a long weekend drive, stay in a B&B and just have a change of scenery? Hah, I did just that when I went to Aberystwyth mid-May a...

Re: QL Homepage Is Back!

To be honest, can I be bothered? To think all this came about because my ISP stopped email services and things cascaded from there.

The last few weeks have really made me lose interest in just about anything which takes any time whatsoever, including the website.

Re: QL Homepage Is Back!

There are still several internal links not working properly and it took nearly 24 hours to fully restore using home ADSL, so please continue using greybeardz.com for now. I am testing slowly and deliberately, because th elast thing I want is to go too fast and cause something which needs another 24 ...

Re: Which video output do you use? Why?

I use a Vision QL monitor via the QL RGB socket when I have room for that thing on my desk. It is starting to show its age and picture is getting fuzzy. Alternatively, I use a Technika 17 inch TV with a QL RGB to SCART lead and just put up with the loss of a few characters at the edges. The picture ...
