Re: Starting with C on the QL
"To get C68 code to run natively on a PC, you have to rewrite all the SB_keyword calls into C-code. Because C68 is not C, just an adaptation of C for the QL....." C68 really is C and the most complete C compiler on the QL. It can do both K&R C and ANSI C. If your C / C68 code makes use...

Re: Z80 emulation?
Check out this forum post where the topic is the failure of the QL: http://qlforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=1228 This might have some useful information for you. As for my view of "back in the day", I am in the US and Sinclair never really tried marketing the QL much over here. I think most o...

Re: How to make the Prospero Compilers work on a modern system
Tobias, You are running into exactly the same problem that I had in testing ProPascal and ProFortran. In my case, I was testing ProFortran on UQLX and I encountered the same issue you did with the PROM having an issue. I don't know if it is fixable. If I need to use ProFortran, I plan on using Q-emu...

QPC hangs after <CTRL><ALT><SHIFT><TAB>
Does Pro Pascal run on QPC? It runs fine with Q-emultor and UQLX, but I've had issues getting it to run with SMSQmulator, so I'm not sure it works well with SMSQ/E.
BTW, it is nice seeing someone else using Pro Pascal.

Re: The Future of the QL Wiki
What I've found in being involved with non-profits for 18 years is that you take a volunteer to water, but you can't make him drink. Meaning that a volunteer will what they are interested in doing and not what they are told to do. Everyone has their own interests or things that generate internal ene...

Re: The Future of the QL Wiki
I have been on the Board of 4 different non-profits and I'm not sure if a non-profit is the right answer for this. The right answer might be getting others involved in the running of the projects (QL Wiki, ZX81 forums, etc) and making sure that they are all hosted on systems that don't rely a single...

Re: Quasar Magazines
I have a full page scanner and a few copies of Quasar. I can run a test and see how it works. Through a local Museum I have access to very large scanner that I can use.

I'm guessing a power line failed and took out power to that section of the website.

Re: Sinclair QL: an incredible graphic machine
I tested this .img file with uQLx and it ran fine. Granted the images were a little wider on the QL screen. Nicely done.
