Re: QL Black Friday

Thanks for your requests. I posted PM for everybody asked about, so please look at your inbox as it seems that the forum doesn't send notification any more. Also, it seems I will have to make arbitration between some cross combined requests. BTW, I haven't managed to insert pictures inside PMs, so I...

Hello Alain, Out of interest, are you able to show pics of the internal RAM upgrade? Was it something purchased or a home made upgrade? It is in very nice condition. Re: re programming gals rom on a qubide 1,56

I have used a similar scheme to implement a big 1 mega rom (2x512) on Q40 with external selector switching between 2 bigs uncompressed SMSQE in rom.
This worked fine but I don't see any benefit to switch between 2 qubide firmwares...

Re: re programming gals rom on a qubide 1,56

Well, I am not a hardware man able to answer electronical questions but I don't see why writing x times the firmware code on winbond 512 could be a solution. Higher addresses than 16k should not be selected at all. If the board does this way, you have to bend out some adresses legs or to ground them...

Re: re programming gals rom on a qubide 1,56

Hello, If both gals are near the edge bord, I guess your board is a clone. The gal 1 is nearest ide connector and the gal 2 nearest QL motherboard connector. I am used to reprogram the gals without need new ones. Usually clone board comes with otp rom which cannot be reprogrammed and need to be repl...

Re: qubide single ended version what gal version ?

You can use the QUbATA V3.10 Driver for the Clone version.
I attached below the archive containing ROM and GALs binary codes to burn.
There is also a REXT code which can be LRESPRed after having configured the base address for QubIDE hardware.
