Re: Solved: QL psu cord
First of all, measuring of the PSU is kind of irritating. Therefor I measured on my open QL as well to be shure. The QL needs 1.8 A at 9VDC and 0.2A at AC. I guess the voltage is not THAT important, the psu states 15.6VAC Hopefully 12V is sufficient. The middle pin is ground reference and AC referen...

Solved: QL psu cord
I am searching for a psu cord that goes into the QL.
Rich unfortunately has none for sale.
A non working or a working psu with cable on it would also do.
Has anyone a spare or broken he never managed to repair?
Kind regards
Paul

Re: Internal ram upgrade to 640k
Sorry, this a newbie question  I wonder how a QL would react if it is internally expanded to 640K and you attach an external 512K Memoryexpansion. What happens if you have no internal, but two external expansions? For example a Processorcard with 512K AND a Floppy Controller with 512K? Can the...

Re: Hello from the Netherlands
So do I. I mean you welcome and I have a C5 that takes me to work every day (and a spare one). Its nice see someone making stuff for the QL and publishing its sources :D I am also a beginner to QL, but your questions about microdrives will definitely all be answered in the microdrive book you find o...

I am also mainly tinkering with my "new" C5 trying to build a replacement ULA
following these instructions from a german guy and cleaning and greasing all bearings as it was never used and the grease inside is stuck.

Re: search for details on powerregulator upgrade
Now, I've not yet tried any of these yet, but on some other machines (e.g. Spectrums and ZX81's) some people have fitted switch mode converters like Traco DC-DC Converters TSR-1 Series 1 A or RECOM R-78Bxx-1.0 DC/DC-Converters. Mark We (German ZX-Team) use those switching regulators like the recom ...

Re: ROM Cartridge Port PinOut
It's a very old trick: I use 256 memory mapped ports: from $FE00 to $FEFF. When i want to write byte XX to the SPI interface, I make a read to the port $FEXX and discard the result. So this makes a second possibility. The first possibility I was hinted to was using one adress line as a "serial...

Re: ROM Cartridge Port PinOut
First of all: thanks for your answer. No I am not talking about adresslines. I mean the PIN A1 that is on the opposite side of PIN B1where we find VDD and on top of PIN A2 where we find A12. PIN A1 is marked _, but in the Manual I saw it was - instead and not described. therefore I guessed it should...
