Re: new Q68 user, already some questions :-)
In between, I have to questions : When I boot QL/E, It take forever to load the desktop wallpaper (there is a message in the center of the screen telling "Photon-heron-1024x768.jpg" for almost 1 minute) then it takes once again forever to load a QL family picture (one minute too). It is n...
Re: QL-SD
I'll wait then. Any chance of a testy one before you go into mass-production?mk79 wrote:Well, https://www.ebay.de/itm/Sinclair-QL-QL-SD/164282399738 wants 105€ for a used QL-SD. Even I find that steep
In other news, I've ordered a few more PCBs of the external version for further tests.

Re: Eidersoft (M)ICE Eprom question.
On a slightly off topic note - did the ROM contents ever get released to the public or are they still private ? Perhaps Rich will know. I think generally most/all Eidersoft games are still commercial as whoever owns the rights now stopped responding or something (unless I'm thinking of someone else...

Added The Oracle page
I've just added a The Oracle page to the wiki. It's another Jochen Merz puzzle game. Trickier than "Brain Smasher!". In fact, so tricky that there was originally some kind of prize for the first person to complete it and send a code to JMS by the end of 1993. I wonder if anyone won the pri...

So my Mice device was the version that never had a mouse! I see.Martin_Head wrote:I was wondering what the two empty IC sockets was for. Found a circuit diagram on the first German link above.
One's the address decoder, which has been bypassed. The other one looks like more inputs. More mouse buttons?

Thanks Pr0f and Derek.
Having lived in Germany since about 2003, it is the only other language I can understand (in fact the one I use most).

Eidersoft (M)ICE Eprom question.
I do like my Mice (Icon Controlled Environment) plug-in ROM device. Love the old look to the Icon environment. And it's totally weird seeing "D Jones" and knowing that it's not actually Dilwyn this time ;-). This is what the PCB looks like: 20200714_185438_resized.jpg 20200714_185412_resiz...

No, there was nothing QL related in the other stuff so you're ok.grafvonb wrote:So I got the worst one...Chr$ wrote:Oh, you got that one did you . I had some other stuff off that seller before (inc a ZX80) but having 3 German QLs was enough for me so I let it go.
