Re: SMSQzine Issue #6

I liked the bit about the Psion programs and Xchange, and the Xchange Users Association. My employer used to send me to their meetings because I had written an Archive database/program in the network version of Xchange, to handle the receipt, repair and shipping of customer equipment. The XUA was ha...

Amiga DD disks can be difficult to reformat, this might be due to the bespoke 880k disk capacity that they have.

Re: USB Floppy Disk Device (Drive) with Support for Windows 10 and QPC2?

I'm not too sure about this. But if the QDOS disk is a 720K one, Does Windows 10/the motherboard floppy controller support 720K disks?

Re: QPC2 on Windoze 10

I have also noticed this happen when you minimize them. If I have more than one copy of QPC2 running, one will disappear into the notification area, but the others stay on the task bar. This used to confuse me no end. I would look at the task bar and think, I'm sure I had 3 QPC2's running. Then I wo...

Re: Ubuntu 14.04.4 and uqlx2017

And here is a uqlx2017 version of the IPRouter program. uqlxRouter_cde.zip I had to make changes to the routine that reads packets (IP_RECV) to restore the value of A1 on return. It looks like there is a difference in IP_RECV between QPC2 and UQLX with the value of A1 on return from the Trap#3 Again...

Re: Quanta Magazine

Volume 35, Issue 2, Arrived today.

I'm guessing its just very late, rather than some nice Quanta person sending me a replacement, As the copy date on the inside back page says to send in things for the Aug/Sept/Oct issue before 5th Nov 2018

Re: Ubuntu 14.04.4 and uqlx2017

I think I have got my network driver working in uqlx2017. uqlxNETdriver4_cde.zip I had to make some changes to the routine that reads data packets. I have done a quick test between two copies of uqlx2017 running on the same PC. And a test between uqlx2017 on a Linux machine, and QPC2 on a Windows X...

Re: Proposal about the file system

Someone correct me if go wrong here.... With the exception of Microdrives (don't know about RAM drives), The file headers are only stored in the Directory. There are 64 unused bytes at the start of every stored file (where the file header is also stored on MDV's). These bytes are usually unavailable...

Quanta Magazine

I'm wondering if I have missed an issue or two of the Quanta magazine.

I have definitely got Volume 35, Issue 1. Feb/March/April 2018. Is there any more?

I know that there are/were problems with the lack of an editor. Just wondering if my copies got lost in the post.
