Yes - sorry - that is the location. I think there were some utilities or a utility disk - also on Dilwyn's site - I think there was a tool in there to help manage these boot parameters in the i2c RAM on the RTC chip - The idea would be to set the max amount of RAM in the system to 4MB - then Minerva...

those rechargeable batteries have a shelf life of about 10 years - so if that was the original one - it's easily 20+ years old

the CR2032 is a non rechargeable lithium cell - and the Minerva board probably has a charge circuit on board for that battery - in fact I think it may even be built into the RTC chip on the board - so you should replace it with a rechargeable. However, you can wire a diode in series with the batter...

hopefully that will get you going - but you really do want to get that battery swapped out It's probably just a 3.6V NiCd with tags - and then shrink wrapped to stop it shorting to anything.
