Re: Sinclair/QJUMP QEPIII Eprom programmer
Thanks for the comments. I did find the instruction PDF, which is very useful. Just for fun and to explore the software, I attempted to use the ROM data that I took from the original chip in Qemulator as an "ext. ROM", but it didn't do anything - no boot message and of course no reaction ...

Re: Sinclair/QJUMP QEPIII Eprom programmer
Seem to recall it wouldn't work with other things plugged in at same time (actually, I think I could get it to work with a RAM expansion and a passive 2 slot expander, but not sure what I had at the time) Yes, that combination will work, I once had my QL put into a small PC case with an unbuffered ...

Re: Another noob question: ROMs
1985 QL users weren't using Toolkit II - presumably it didn't exist then - and it's playing havoc with the bits of memory the listings are trying to use. You are wrong: The Sinclair QL.Toolkit existed in 1985 (written by TT under the QJump label). Look here: https://qlwiki.qlforum.co.uk/doku.php?id...

Re: Super Sprite Generator issues
There are a few (not all!) of those old QL MC games, which have a very smooth movement of their "sprites", even, if there are more than 10 on the screen. I wonder, how the programmers have managed that.

Re: Super Sprite Generator issues
But you may need an easy way to make collision control. And is it possible to let them move fast and smooth? I think there is no way (at the moment) with QPTR or EasyPTR.Derek_Stewart wrote:I am still interested in QPTR Sprites for animation or game play.

Re: Super Sprite Generator issues
Do the sprites flicker? As far as I remember, RWAP has written, that this happens under QemuLator.Derek_Stewart wrote:I have got the SSG 4 demo programme working in QPC2 by enterin the QPC_QLSCREMU 8 command.

This remimds of old QL games. Seems to be a very bad behaviour.
