Re: QL on MIST FPGA board

Paul,
which extension (device)I need to download with Quartus ? Arria, Cyclone, Max, Stratix ?
In the meantime , eventually can you upload the new core with more memory somewhere ?

Many thanks

Re: QL on MIST FPGA board

Finally I also own a working MiST and the QL does work properly with QL-SD. Has anybody of you tried to modify the core? I already added a litte more ram resulting in 896K total. I haven't managed to get more at the moment. Is anybody able to give me some help in understanding the internals of the ...

Re: IP Network driver

Martin, I've tried the driver on two systems running SMSQmulator. One running 2.16 and the other 2.17. On both when I try to LRESPR the netdriver_cde file, I get "not found". Have you tried it with SMSQmulator? Tim Same error here using Smsqmulator. I think it is an issue opening the TCP_...

Re: QL on MIST FPGA board

I like the idea of the Mist being development platform for hardware ideas as this makes perfectly sense. How are our hardware gurus think about that and who could shoulder the task to do some extensions to the existing model? There is many talented people here, why do they all hide right now? :shoc...

Re: QL on MIST FPGA board

Last weekend I had the chance to try out the FPGA based computer MIST at the EJAGFEST 2015. After downloading the QL core I’ve explored quite a bit of it. See my results in this video: https://youtu.be/1VfFaG_XesU Whoa, cool! It's nice to see people having some fun with this. Thanks for sharing. Hi...

Re: SuperHermes

For the time being I can confirm that, for who is looking for an hardware replacement, the Mist is really a step forward and works very well, pity we cannot convince Till (Mist master :D ) to enhance it to use more speed and more memory. Maybe money helps? Maybe helping helps? ;) I'll go with XorA ...

Re: SuperHermes

Whilst I still have plenty of stock of the original Hermes, Tony Firshman has now offered to make some more SuperHermes units. I was wondering what interest there would be in a new production run of these - price is likely to be £90 each Any news? , I am looking forward to enhance my 2 QL with exte...

Re: QL on MIST FPGA board

Yes, it is fairly simple : load the SD driver in Qemulator then you have available sdc1_, link the qxl or the directory where you have files and then copy them to sdc1_, move back the SD from the pc to the mist et voila' it is done. I created at the moment a 48MB BDI_bin and loaded everything in it,...
