Re: QTImage 1.5
I really like QTimage and after many failures I managed to import a .jpg file, change it to B&W and then save it as both a .jpg and _pic file. Screen shot below:- QTimage2.JPG One thing that was not a failure on my system, was running QT from a RAM disc. QT runs in exactly the same way from RAM ...

Re: QTImage 1.5
I may have answered my own question. It seems that all the files in the QTIMAGE zip file need to be in same place as QTIMAGE_obj. It is an impressive application program and shows what is possible on SMS in BASIC. I don't suppose Giorgio has thought of creating a tutorial covering the creation of co...

Re: QTImage 1.5
I would like to run QTImage on my QPC2 setup. After reading various documents I LRESPRed DBAS_BIN and DATA_BIN and then tried to execute QTIMAGE_obj. The result was a runtime error as follows:- Q_LIB Error 28, Index out of range. My guess is that QTIMAGE is dependant on the presence of other files. ...

50 Years of BASIC
One of my nieces is currently staying with me in Geneva. Geneva is currently covered in low cloud, so we decided to climb a mountain peak to the south of us called "Le Signal des Voirons". The peak lay above the cloudline and from this peak we had spectacular views of mountains sitting in ...

Re: QPC2 and MAc air M1
XorA wrote So I just checked and I had QPC2 working on my M1 Mac I am on the codeweavers.com site at the moment. CrossOver Mac is free for 14 days and then either $60 or $500. CodeWeavers claim to be "Software liberators". I suppose in the sense of "liberating" you of $500, they...

Re: QPC2 and MAc air M1
mk79 is the expert and he seems to be saying no to QPC-on-Air You might be able to execute QPC on an M1, by installing Rosetta2, then Wine and lastly QPC. So:- (and I may have this all wrong) Rosetta emulates x86, WINE translates Windows calls to macOS calls and QPC emulates a 68???? processor. http...

Re: QPC2 and MAc air M1
I did not mean Qemulator. The software that runs on my ARM based Pi400 is SMSQmulator. It runs under Java.mhanias wrote
Thank you for the answer but Qemulator does not run on the M1

Re: QPC2 and MAc air M1
This is a question I asked in an earlier post. I imagine you either have to use WINE (if it works on a macair) or instead of QPC, you try and run Qmulator. After some help from Norm et al. I managed to get Qmulator to run on a Pi400 that also uses an ARM processor. I would also like an answer to you...

Re: NOOB QUESTION: learning machine code
Thanks for the info Derek. When I find the time I will concentrate on setting up an assembler/QD as you suggest. I downloaded Norm's magazine and scanned though the pages and quickly realised that I would really have to work hard to understand what is being written. Like many subjects there is a &qu...
