Re: Debian from Intel to ARM: No Wine, no QPC2, no Q-emuLato
Are any of the many people working on the ARM port of uQLx for the Pi co-ordinating their efforts? It would be useful to know what's the current situation and share the experiences. More and more of us are needing a QL emulator for ARM. One first simple task would be to publish the best sources. I ...

Re: Raspberry Pi
Still trying here. No way to compile uQLx yet. I use Raspbian with the Raspberry Pi. I didn't succeed with standard Debian in the Pandora either.Mr_Navigator wrote: Has anyone made any progress installing a QL emulator on the Raspi yet?

Re: New Spanish Text Adventure - Assault and Punishment
I wrote the QL version of this adventure game. Thank you all for your interest. The author of the original ZX Spectrum version and I are willing to help with the English translation. But as I said to Lee Privett in April, an automatic translation needs a lot of manual revision and hard work in order...

Debian from Intel to ARM: No Wine, no QPC2, no Q-emuLator
Last months I've been migrating Debian from my Asus Eee to a Pandora . I really wanted to leave the Intel platform forever. My Debian environment is a bit unusual, keyboard oriented (Ratpoison + GNU screen + keynav), but at the end I succeeded to make it work in the Pandora. Only hibernation and bat...

Re: How difficult would it be?
Does anyone know or have any comments on how difficult it would be to write an interpreter or compiler based around the Sinclair QL SuperBASIC and have it running on a Linux based system? As a Debian user, I can say it would be a dream, but probably impossible. A language with similar syntax to S*B...

A runtime version of QPC2?
[I've just sent this to the QL-Users list, and I want to share it here too:] Hi all, I'd like to share some thoughts and an idea about QPC2 (what Marcel may tell if it's feasible or not). SBASIC is a great tool, powerful enough but still comfortable, and SMSQ/E provides many of the features normally...

Text adventure in Spanish ported from ZX Spectrum
I've finished a port from ZX Spectrum, a text adventure in Spanish: Asalto y castigo (Assault and punishment). The original author is an experienced writer of interactive fiction in Spanish (one of his text adventures , Survive , was written first in English and then translated). The original progra...

Re: booting QPC2 from a DOS device
So that's what I've suggested to Marcel Kilgus for a future version of QPC2: enable booting also from any DOS device. Marcel responded that "unfortunately due to the way booting works in SMSQ/E this is not as easy as one might think" and he suggested the simple solution I was already usin...

Re: Strange problem with Display Toolkit and Q-emuLator
Daniele Terdina has confirmed that this is a MGx ROM bug combinated with a Q-emuLator patch.programandala.net wrote:After many tries, I've found out a clue: Display Toolkit is not properly installed in Q-emuLator (the last version, registered) when the MGE ROM is used and the speed is 100% of QL's:
