Re: Centronics interface signals
Anyway, my interface can accept only 9600 Baud, am I right? Yes, according to the manual (http://www.dilwyn.me.uk/docs/manuals/QL_CentronicsPrinterInterface_UserManual.pdf ) it's fixed at 9600 Baud. And I wouldn't worry too much about that because most programs will not even be able to send at high...

Re: Centronics interface signals
For the moment there's still something I don't understand: the printer (Brother HL-5040) receives data, but it stays paused until I push the botton "go", and Quill doesn't print ("can't open the file"). Apparently, your printer doesn't start to print until it sees a form feed. M...

Re: Quill to RTF Super BASIC convertor - doc2rtf_bas
Tom, Did a quick check: STRINGL doesn't show up in any of the SuperBASIC keyword lists that I have (and I have some....), and also not in Rich Mellor's SuperBASIC reference manual. Although it appears to sound more like picking the length of the string (which wouldn't make a lot of sense), I would s...

Re: My project for 2015
Yes, Tobias, I'm looking at uQLx as an emulator option. It only provides a base QL, doesn't it? It would be nice to have one that also includes higher video modes. James, uqlx is actually able to emulate a kindof "super QL" - with the following extended features: Up to 16MB of accessible ...

Re: My project for 2015
The most central thing would be to get the emulator working, but I happen to know someone whou got this working already for you . Look for uqlx for the RPi on Dilwyn's site - It still has a number of quirks, but runs reasonably well.

Re: QL Commercial Software Preservation
Oh yeah!
I have been looking for that version for ages now! Would be good if we could make that openly available!

Re: SBASIC not compatible with SB: PROCedure in PROCedure
Peter, yes, that's true. SBASIC checks against a number of possible quirks in programs that SuperBASIC didn't care about - A fact that has mostly been considered a bug in the interpreter. One of those is the proper nesting of PROCs and FuNcs. Other languages like Pascal or MODULA allow you to basica...

Re: Seen on eBay
Most of the stuff seems to be old Apple Image/LaserWriter junk (The "Adobe" ROMs hint to that). Nothing for a QL freak in there.
