Re: C cross compiler

I've used most of the C compilers that are available for the QL, and I've recently been playing with Z88DK. I think that C68 is a more stable compiler than Z88DK, and has more features. It's not derived from Small-C, like Z88DK. I'm fairly sure it is full K&R and pretty close the being ANSI comp...

Re: Service Manual and Schematics

Skagon, On the Samsung QL's, IIRC, the person that knew the most about these is Thomas Bent. He had a QL service business and a newsletter in the US from about 1986 to about 1990. He was known for documenting and recommending certain mods to the US QL's. A Google search turned up nothing. I'll have ...

Re: basic cross-compilers like Boriel's ZX-Basic Compiler

I thought the goal of a cross compiler was to do the compilation process on a system other than the target system and not the automation of the compilation process. I've not looked closely at the syntax of Boriel's ZX-Basic, but I'm a dyed-in-the-wool SuperBASIC fan and find it better than other for...

Re: basic cross-compilers like Boriel's ZX-Basic Compiler

I've been looking at the ZX-Basic Compiler, hoping that it would work for the ZX81. Both the ZX81 and Spectrum need cross compilers, since the development environment is a bit limited. It is much easier to edit code under on OS like Linux or Windows and then cross compile. Neither the ZX81 or the Sp...

Re: Sinclair QL Resource Website

There is already a QL forum (which we are using). There is a QL Wiki page that Rich Mellor is hosting. Dilwyn has pretty much the default software download site.

I don't see a need to replace these, but having single page that links to all of these would be useful, esp. to those new to the QL.

Re: Books about SuperBASIC

The best is the book by Jan Jones, who created SuperBASIC. Her book and another can be found on World of Spectrum: QL Superbasic: The Definitive Handbook (Jan Jones) http://www.worldofspectrum.org/infoseekid.cgi?id=2000311 Exploring the Sinclair QL - An Introduction to Superbasic http://www.worldofs...

Re: So here is the problem

Mr. Navigator,

Get me via PM (swenson_t@sbcglobal.net). A while back I did a ascii dump program, and it was fairly easy to convert it to do hex dumps. I can send you the executable that should work for your needs.

Re: Anyone Know this Hardware

I just pulled my QL stuff out of storage this weekend. In going through it, I found the JF Keyboard-90 manual in English. I scanned it and sent to Rich Mellor (Rich, check your inbox). I'm hoping that Rich can find a place to host it. I scanned at 300 DPI. Total size of the manual is 4 Meg. I got th...

Re: Email

Dave, I'm not sure where you are, but I think some of your statements are off. >Everyone uses cable I know a lot of folks that don't use cable for Internet access (me for one). >Nobody allows their ISP to also be their email service provider. I know a lot of folks with e-mail addresses that are from...
