Re: Boot Q68 without monitor and keyboard

Now my Q68 acts "unattended" as a server and gateway with QPC2 <-> BBQL . Everything is OK!! Good to hear that it works for you now. By the way, I designed a piece of hardware which seems ideal for this purpose. I did not plan to talk about it yet, as I may not spend the time for a public...

Just detach them and boot the Q68. No idea what problems people are seeing here.

The schematics from Dave are fine.

Re: Announcing availability of a QLNET driver for the Q68 (ND-Q68)

Unfortunately I don't have Q40/Q60 ... :-( ... (By the way, are Q60 units still being manufactured?). Sorry, I thought you had one. There is a slow-going effort to build a few Q60 from leftover parts, but I see no predictable outcome yet. The sad thing about the Q60 ist that almost no flatscreen mo...

Thanks for posting the picture, the placement of the network connectors looks very nice. Great job, Derek! I still found no time to make a decent case mod like yours. :?

Re: Q68 netwrok port hardware

That's correct in inactive state (Bit 0 = 0). When you pull the line high, it should change. It does. When I apply 3.3V to the QLnet pin, the value becomes 57. Let's wait for the BAT43. SInce your test proved that your Q68 FPGA has not been damaged, I would not expect much from replacing the diodes...

Re: Announcing availability of a QLNET driver for the Q68 (ND-Q68)

I had the same scenario, but a Q60 instead of an emulator and didn't see the problem. IIRC you have a Q60, maybe try it to encircle the issue. Also check if you have hardware handshake off on SER. Yes, I have hardware handshake off on SER. (The communication between Q68 - QPC2 is perfect with SERNE...

Re: Q68 netwrok port hardware

is PC.MCTRL a byte long or a word long (peek or peek_w) Byte, as for the original QL. I have checked with nothing plugged and the value of peek(hex("18020")) is 56. That's correct in inactive state (Bit 0 = 0). When you pull the line high, it should change. P.S. something is strange. The ...

Re: Q68 netwrok port hardware

In retrospective, I regret that I didn't add the few QL network components on-board. It was a compromise to save the time for an additional prototyping round, and get the Q68 released. (Back then, it was uncertain if someone would do the difficult timing stuff needed for the driver.) I considered de...
