Re: Q68 QoE Ethernet Driver

For most of the year I have been working on an Ethernet driver for the Q68. Its not finished, but I thought that I would release one of the development versions for people to try, and to get some user feedback on any problems seen. Many thanks Martin for your enormous work! And again my apologies f...

Yes, and that was already the Q60 PCB, also. Just that the 68060 was still so expensive, I decided to start with the 68040.

You can use: M48T02-70PC1 or M48T02-150PC1
In stock at the major distributors like Mouser, etc. If you like, I can get one for you, the next time I order something anyway.

Re: New (to me) Q40!

A few more questions spring to mind... What do the yellow stickers indicate (1.0?) IC reference designator and logic version. Are the lithium Timekeeper battery/RAM devices known to leak at all? No. The m/b says V2, so how does it differ to V1? V1 was the prototype. It was a two-layer board and wor...

Re: Q40 and Q60 video controller for flatscreen monitors

Could you supply this updated chip to me? I can program them, but my stock of chips has become small. Would it be okay to re-program the chip you have? I don't have a CRT VGA monitor and I don't mind some blackness - better than a line or 2 of missing text. Unfortunately not just a few lines, it's ...

Re: New (to me) Q40!

I have used TT's partition scheme, when I first used my Atari MegaST4 with a Megafile 30. Unfortunately, I have had several crashes. I think Tony Tebby simply wanted to re-use the partition scheme and QLWA filesystem from Atari on the Q40. But there is a difference inasmuch the Megafile 30 used an ...

Re: New (to me) Q40!

I found atari-disk more flexible allowing any number of partition and varying size of partition. The down side was it was a Linunx application, I could not find the source code to it to try and port it to the Q60. The exact name of the software is atari-fdisk, just in case someone actually searches...

Not container files, QLWA partitions on an Atari format harddisk.

Re: New (to me) Q40!

These days you can get a small PSU with a single molex connector rated at 2A. The 68040 alone can draw almost 8W, so 2A is not sufficient. I'm not going to specify the supply current, as I don't know the ISA cards and peripherals used. Why not measure the actuall current for your configuration and ...
