I do not understand the meaning of the missing PAR port. The new Super Gold Card clone was re-made without the Parallel Printer port - presumably because finding a suitable printer is almost impossible nowdays. I still use my Epson Laser EPL-5200 with parallel port but a SGC without PAR is useless ...

Probably yes, as the ROM area is always write protected on QL.

Would be needful in SMSQ/E (or QPC2), that "EPROM_LOAD" makes the area write protected.

It is a Renkforce Mike from the german Conrad electronics, -38dB sensitivity with 48V phantom power, 30-18000Hz.

Question: I appreciate that the bin files included with this are for the QLib sources itself, and the patched qlib_run. Are the remainder of the files from QLib 3.36 (e.g. qlib_ext) OK for use with QLib3.38? Yes, as far as I know, these are the extracted BIN files from Martin's first decompilation....

I was perhaps going to use Dilwyn's code, but he has pointed out in his notes that it might not work for the uQLx emulator, which is an exception. Since QLIB is designed to work on all platforms, perhaps we should use my simple detection method, instead. I think, you have misunderstand Dilwyn's REM...
