More recent mdv discoveries

Some recent purchases/discoveries: Tank Buster - in original box, fully working - Actually a pretty good 3D wireframe game. War in the East - the +3 version it would seem, which includes all 3 of the scenarios. There is a cart labelled 'Master+3' and another called 'Scen 1,2,3', which I have discove...

Re: Spare Psion packs, please!

I got a pack I can get rid of, but you seem to be filled ;) I'm in Germany too, and it tends to be expensive to post them, not that it was cheap before Brexit. They should certainly fall under the customs limit though. I'd pay £10 per pack of 4 in the original case. Could probably give an address i...

Re: QLUB Adapter - Initial Release...

Yes, it works perfectly now! I just sent a screen to the QL in the other room.

Thanks Marcel, sorry for being such a noob and sorry for wasting your time Martyn, with a problem for which I was entirely to blame.

So, 12.8m cables do work perfectly, at least I have confirmed that

mk79 wrote:The PCB was designed for the BC559 transistor, which if I'm not mistaken has the pins exactly the other way round compared to your ZTX550... I can't explain why the Q68 can get what your sending, but it would certainly explain why a QL can't.

OMG, so it does!

Right, swapping them round...

Re: QLUB Adapter - Initial Release...

Right, I moved things around and tried again with a normal shorter cable and it's the same! i.e. I can: Send files from QLUB (Qemulator or QPC) to Q68. Receive files on QLUB from Q68. Send files from QL with MGG to QLUB. Send files from the other QL with JS to QLUB. It still gets stuck at Blk#0 (and...

Re: QLUB Adapter - Initial Release...

If b) - my inclination at this point - then have you successfully tested the NET connection between the two QLs with that same cable? Or tried the Q68 to QL, but this time with that same long cable? Just how long is the cable? I've seen success with a 10m cable, myself. Out of interest, which versi...

Re: QLUB Adapter - Initial Release...

Hi again Chris OK, so just to be clear, the receiving QL (when sending from the QLUB) continues to 'hang' whether you evoke either the LBYTEs or the 'manual' approach outlined? Yes, and at the other end it shows Tx Blk#0 and doesn't go any further. Hi again Chris Can you CTRL-Space/Break to regain ...

Re: QLUB Adapter - Initial Release...

ch%=FOPEN('neti_2') hdr$=INPUT$(#ch%, 15) FOR nextLine%=0 TO 255: line$=INPUT$(#ch%, 128): POKE$ 131072+nextLine%*128, line$ CLOSE #ch% I tried that. It worked fine sending a scr from the Q68 and then using that routine to receive on the real QL (with either Minerva or JS). COPY_N also worked Q68>Q...
