Re: Possible problem with cloned SGC and Minerva 1.98

Issue 5 QL, with Minerva 1.97, An original Miracle Systems Gold card with ROM version 2.32 Interesting. Do you have any means for reading out the complete 2.32 ROM? If not, can you SBYTES the area $1C200-$1FFFF after boot and send it to me? Cheers, Marcel Here's an SBYTES, 15871 bytes, is that righ...

Re: Possible problem with cloned SGC and Minerva 1.98

I decided to try to replicate your problem. After a lot of trouble of trying to get a QL to work, and find a microdrive cartridge that still worked. Power up, F1, LBYTES mdv2_filename,131072 And I do not see the problem, It works as expected. This is the set up... Issue 5 QL, with Minerva 1.97, An o...

Re: Possible problem with cloned SGC and Minerva 1.98

Another bit of a shot in the dark. There has been mention of POKE!!53 to change interrupts in the IPC, Is this a Hermes thing? Are the three of you seeing this problem all using Hermes? Also in my last post perhaps I should have said... Does the same thing happen if you try to LBYTES outside of the ...

Re: Possible problem with cloned SGC and Minerva 1.98

A few odd thoughts. I don't have the Minerva source code to hand. But I think that normal loading and scatter loading use the same routine to actually read the sectors off the cartridge, So it does not sound like a timing fault in reading the sectors. I don't know if its anything to do with slave bl...

Re: Possible problem with cloned SGC and Minerva 1.98

I have been comparing my MDI driver and Minerva source codes. But I cannot see any difference where I thought the problem was.

So I had a search in the forum viewtopic.php?f=19&t=683&p=4979&hilit=minerva#p4979 from when I was hunting it.

Re: Possible problem with cloned SGC and Minerva 1.98

Hmm, looking over the list I suspect the scatter load of the MDV device driver is broken on later Minervas. Further experiments now show that it always crashes when you LBYTES a file that is exactly 4096 bytes or bigger. Too late to investigate further, but the bug will be in dd_msvsc_asm I guess. ...

Re: Possible problem with cloned SGC and Minerva 1.98

Is it just a MDV problem. Does FLP's work OK Can you LOAD programs OK, So that it is just LBYTES that fail. I'm wondering if it's something to do with the scatter load that LBYTES does (and maybe EXEC). As I had that problem myself once in a driver I was working on. When the bottom 2/3 of the screen...

Re: SuperCharge Decompiler

Hi Martin, I have been away from QL scene for a while, however reading QL forum now and then, this project of yours caught my attention. I am curious what development tools and system you used for it, I can see some _libs but no executables, only _bas programs. Cheers Tomas Talent/Quanta Assembler ...

Re: SuperCharge Decompiler

It's been a while since I posted anything on the Super/Turbo Decompiler. So here's an update. There are now two versions of the Turbo decompiler, One for included line numbers, and one for omitted line numbers. Trying to get one program to handle both was getting a bit messy. Note that the technical...

Re: Ubuntu 14.04.4 and uqlx2017

Here is a round up of my Network driver and Router for UQLX, both the 2017 and the two 2018 versions. The uqlx2018 Network driver should also work OK in QPC2. The next time I do an update to the main network driver, I will make it include uqlx2018. I don't know what I will do about a uqlx2017 versio...
