OK - I really need to get another QL up and running with good microdrive units for writing to cartridges - I have two excellent boxed models (listed on sellmyretro.com), but won't use them.
I have one QL with a really good mdv2_ for reading, but it will not write - still it does me for testing!

What I said I have retrieved, is the original Computer One FORTH microdrive cartridge content, that had some bugs. At this time, I have on the same Qdos 3.5" floppy the original (bugged) version and the FORTH executable where I patched corrections for the bugs that I found. All this analysis a...

Re: Some useful commands and info.
I missed the original response above - but you have to remember that there were quite a few different RAM disks created for the QL. Only the one written by Tony Tebby seems to have the FORMAT ram1_mdv1 command - this is included with QRAM and the Miracle interfaces - I don't think it came with any o...

The little felt pad in the microdrive cartridges is a real pain - on many occasions, part of it gets inside the cartridge, and then jams the tape completely. Can you have a look at the software thread for the missing QL software titles, in case you have any on disk or cartridge? There are several ot...

Re: QL Game Recommendations
I only ever bought one game, it was in mode 4 and Karate style fighting game, I cannot remember the name at the moment but the graphics at the time were superb. I lived in Upminster at the time and went to the place where the software company resided, about two miles away in a BARN just so that I c...

Re: QL Game Recommendations
It's a shame that RWAP can't get the rights to sell more games, it would be miles better than paying through the nose for old versions on ebay. I would love to - its the problem of finding the old copyright holders and even worse, getting a response out of them.... I have found a couple of contacts...

Re: unzip
I wonder if an easier way to do this, is to also offer a download of the executable, with a note of how to use SEXEC to set it up with the correct dataspace before trying to EXEC it ?
