Re: QLirc IRC Chat Client

I have run that under QPC 2, put in my nickname but there was just the string "Connecting", nothing else. It does sometimes happen and all you can do is reconnect. I even get this sometimes just connecting to the Forum itself in an ordinary browser and I have to try 2 or 3 times. Have a l...

Re: QL PSU

Anyone happen to know the part or type number for the QL power plug and socket?

Virtually impossible to get, but if we know the part or type numbers we can watch out for them, and I can add the part number to the diagrams on my site.

Re: QL-VGA Case

Hi Dilwyn, well done, the enclosure seems to fit pretty well. After your review I did something last week that I contemplated for years but so far avoided: buy a 3D printer and learn 3D CAD: QL_VGA_case_closed.jpg QL_VGA_case_open.jpg Only problem is my design needs 30mm M3 screws which are somewha...

QL-VGA Case

I've written an article on my blog about making a case for my QL-VGA prototype. Important to realise that this is a prototype board - the finished product may differ a little. But it was quite easy to do and will protect the board and looks tidier than a bare board. https://dilwyn2.wordpress.com/202...

Re: QLirc IRC Chat Client

Any news from Dilwyn? Would be nice for me to try this (for the first time) with QPC2. I was online using QLirc last night and in the entire time I was online, it crashed once and a few minor niggles and bugs - I'm aiming for an alpha release by Friday (without documentation other than what Tim has...

Re: Covid19

Thank you for that vanpeebles. It is a good idea during this situation to encourage us to keep in touch. I'm looking forward to trying out the chat program to get back to pestering you again sometime. We had a bit of a scare recently, thinking we'd been in touch with someone who was displaying symp...

Re: n00b question about the mouse and QL/E for TDI

I tried both DB9 wiring that I found here : http://www.dilwyn.me.uk/pe/SERMouse.pdf without success. My question is : do I have to activate something special, load a driver or install anything to make the mouse work ? Is this wiring diagram the good one ? (I found another one that had nothing to do...

Re: Covid19

Hi Dilwyn, The advice here is that it has to be 60% alcohol to be effective. I've heard from someone who knows, that 70% is required. I'm using River's Rum, from Grenada, which is 300 proof. Drinking it I mean! ;) Well, put it the other way, under 60% is not much good. Wonder if the alcohol can be ...
