Re: n00b question about the mouse and QL/E for TDI

I tried both DB9 wiring that I found here : http://www.dilwyn.me.uk/pe/SERMouse.pdf without success. My question is : do I have to activate something special, load a driver or install anything to make the mouse work ? Is this wiring diagram the good one ? (I found another one that had nothing to do...

Re: Covid19

Hi Dilwyn, The advice here is that it has to be 60% alcohol to be effective. I've heard from someone who knows, that 70% is required. I'm using River's Rum, from Grenada, which is 300 proof. Drinking it I mean! ;) Well, put it the other way, under 60% is not much good. Wonder if the alcohol can be ...

Re: Covid19

If you have to tell people to wash their hands, society has already gone to hell in a handbag - this is all just common sense - but as discussed earlier - that is no longer so common and that film idiocracy is coming to be in my own lifetime - dismayed... I do see parallels between what is happenin...

Re: Covid19

I really don't understand the mentatlity of bulk buying - most people have enough stored up to live for a couple of weeks in the house - might need to be inventive with recipees. Panic-buying is a viral thing too: Once it starts everyone better get in on the act or there wont be anything left when ...

In our supermarkets in the UK - dried pasta is almost always sold out - shelves are empty - but you will have no problem...

Re: Thing Removal

The one I have has © 1989-98 Jochen Merz V3.02 embedded. I presume that means he wrote it. However, without the manual its not that useful. I have the printed manual, but it is in deep storage 500km away over the snowy mountains, so I cant help with that. I can pass the toolkit on to Dilwyn, if he'...

Re: SERNET question

Thanks Derek. I did search for SERNET on the site, but only the V3 documentation came up: Its part of the SMSQ/E Manual. Also some articles on V2. I couldnt have known that networking was hidden among the toolkits ;) It appears V3 is a somewhat different beast than V2, so I'll probably start with w...

Re: Covid19

One of my colleagues has come back from a week skiing in an Austrian resort where a case has been discovered. He's got sniffles and is in 14 days isolation. He had a cold before he went. Other than that, nothing to report. Other than the fact that the tabloid papers need to be shut down, permanentl...

Covid19

Not wishing to create fright or anything like that, just wanted to ask if any of our QL friends in the worst affected countries have been infected or forced to stay home during all this? I know of a few who are working from home, for example. On a lighter more positive note, being isolated and at ho...
