Re: Strange problem with Display Toolkit and Q-emuLator

You will get this problem with most toolkit extensions on version AH or version JM ROM. The interpreter will not allow you to use a keyword in the same program as that in which it was loaded. It must be loaded by a separate program. something like: This is one of the purposes of the BOOT program on ...

According to Laurence Reeves, who has worked with Jonathan Oakley, who in turn...

Re: How to show a JPEG or PNG picture in a window?

I'm writing a program in SBASIC (with QPC2 on Debian+Wine), and I need it to show some grey scale pictures in a window. I've found Photon (by Dave Westbury). I haven't tried it yet, but it seems it only shows JPEGs on the whole screen and doesn't provide a keyword to load a picture into a window. T...

Re: How to LRUN without clearing the screen?

RWAP wrote:Yes - load a short boot program and then use MRUN instead of LRUN to load the rest of the SuperBASIC program.

I forget the equivalent in QLOAD.

SBASIC on SMSQ/E has QMERGE, QMRUN, QLRUN and QSAVE_O

These are like MERGE, MRUN, LRUN and SAVE_O but work ont he "_sav" files.

Re: Quanta Show and AGM - 16th/17th April 2011

I think Dilwyn took most of the pictures and I am sure that he will put one or two here at some point. For my part it was a very interesting Workshop/AGM meeting, there were many people, actually everyone of whom I met in person for the first time. I have put some photos and a show report at http:/...

Re: Connector pinout

Hello, this is my first post here and related to this topic: Is there any possibility to connect a German QL to PC via serial cable and transfer data (e.g. using an emulator on the PC side)? I have no experience/knowledge with this but I have a QL (and only a few more or less broken cartridges) and...

Re: unzip

I've put a short SuperBASIC listing on the Archivers page on my website along with a copy of a headerless binary copy of Unzip v5.31 (not used later versions because they give misleading error messages if you do not have Signal Extensions installed). Copy the Unzip file and fix_unzip_bas to your emu...

Re: MG ROM Bug

The MG ROMs (I have a german one with the same problem) have a nasty problem with the SD.POINT routine that draws single pixels: They always draw 2 pixels instead of one, the 'shadow' pixel being of different colour and slightly offset from the real one. The same problem exposes in the SuperBASIC P...
