Re: C1 Pascal

Dilwyn, I've got C1 Pascal to run on Q-emulator. I don't think I've gotten it work on UQLX. C1 Pascal does have a nice front end for editing and compiling, but it is a bit limiting. For Pascal, I think I'd stick with Prospero ProPascal. IIRC I got it working with UQLX. I did some write ups on this i...

Well.... #$%@#. I guess my fingers are not as well trained as I had hoped and typed something else.

Thanks for catching that Marcel.

SMSQzine #5

The latest issue of SMSQzine is now available from my Google Sites page at the following link: https://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&pid=sites&srcid=ZGVmYXVsdGRvbWFpbnxzdmVucWhqfGd4OjQ2NDQ4MGQwNmEwMmI5MDA The zip file with the source code and a binary can also be found on that page. Tim Swenson

If it is what you've been doing your whole life, then it makes sense.

Same with driving on the right-hand side of the road. May not make sense for a UKer, but it does for other Europeans and Americans.

Re: A guide to programming the Sinclair QL

The computer language you want to use is usually related to the computer language that you know. For a SuperBasic programmer, moving over to C68 is not trivial. I've run into the problem of wanting more beginner documentation for C68 and have just used DP C instead. I just did not have the time to i...

Re: A guide to programming the Sinclair QL

Norman, Norman, Norman,

You had to be so bold .... :-)

Recompiling is a form of porting, just a trivial form. Just a semantics.

Now, converting C to/from Basic as Steve mentioned is not trivial and I'm not sure if it is necessary.

Re: A guide to programming the Sinclair QL

"I was recently approached by someone on Facebook who is writing a game in C and using cross compilers to convert it to various platforms." None of the books on SBASIC will help with this project. The main issue is how much QLness is the project going to need. Porting a C program to the QL...
