Re: Auto-boot in JS ROM

I've been trying my luck with TSR programs in DOSBox but no luck. They seem to just stop working once QLAY is running. I've tried KEY-FAKE, STUFFKEY, and STUFFIT and none seem to work. They are key stuffers that supposedly can do it in a timed manner but once QLAY takes over you are done with. You'd...

Auto-boot in JS ROM

Is there a way to get JS ROM to autoboot like Minerva does? I'm guessing this would have to be a modification withing the ROM itself, no?

I posted my ZXSimulator on line (http://zxsimulator.epizy.com) and would love it to autoboot but would like to keep that iconic QL bootscreen.

Re: Power supply

Will the 50Hz screw up 60Hz QL's? It looks like from what I read it should be fine for electronics as long as the voltage is but what about things that require timing like microdrive motors or the oscillator?

Re: RCS (revision control system)

It looks like Gerry Jackson was the author of both so am I correct to assume the QL version of SmallC predates Digital Precision's C and C/SE? Did they commercialize the product at one point?

Tried compiling with it and it complains about finding a file that is right there.

Re: RCS (revision control system)

That's a nice link. I'm curious, I found a small C compiler on that link. How was that related to Digital C's? Were they two separate ports or did Digital C start with that one?

Re: ZXSimulator

I posted the link on another thread where I got the idea to do this. So you can now try out ZXSimulator online similar to the JtyOne Online ZX81 emulator. Simply click on the link below and wait for it to start up and then press F2. Note that, like the movie Inception, we've got some nesting going o...

Re: What makes the OS for QL any better, different, unique ?

Hi Ben, Nice video, seeing `Think C' on Mac, remember also using MPW (E.T.O.), that had unix like shell environment, perhaps `Apple-Dot' comes from there, it sill lingers in mem. Re QL, how do you make those blobs, that appear to have some shading perspective, as if the light came from an angle? Re...

Re: QL Pawn in web browser

And here it is. Found InfinityFree which gives you the ability to host websites WITHOUT those dreaded build environments. So you can just load an HTML file and supporting files. It uses epizy.com as the domain:

Re: QL Pawn in web browser

Looks great. Will try that as soon as I can. And there's no way that the QL in the DOSbox in the HTML can share it's data with the outside world? Is it something that can be made secure so that it just shows and allows the play of certain games/programs? I think that would be great. So the QDOS env...
