Let us chat about Desktop Publishing on the QL

One of the things I loved about my Atari is the great DTP I could have at the time... Power Without The Price with my Atari Mega ST2 and a nice printer, Calamus or Pagestream. Was great. So, tell me about how well, poor, or blah blah blah that the QL did with DTP. I see mentioned in my limited readi...

Re: Optimal Flatscreen monitors for QL and Q68

Well, to my (admittedly rather imperfect) eyes, the BL912 looks good with the Q68 in all modes - I certainly struggle to perceive any significant blurring at all, in normal use. Perhaps my EM15A backlight is defective - it's certainly somewhat annoying, and to that extent I prefer to use the BL912....

Re: Poll: Do you use a Mouse on your QL ?

One of the reasons I ask is I enjoy DTP. Having been raised on Atari I enjoyed two decent DTP apps... Calamus and Pagestream. I ended up going Pagestream. Can't imagine being very productive w/o a mouse in a DTP app and I see there were some DTP apps fro QL. Surprised mouse worth and use did not bec...

Indeed, that is why my poll was "Do you use a Mouse on your QL".

Figured many may own one but never use it.

Then elaborate on what they use it for.

:D

QoogLe Search Engine - silly Friday.... but maybe not!

Don't even have my QL yet but already seeing QL in my daily life. This google avatar for the day made me think QL. Not sure why. The colors I suppose to some degree. Poll: Do you use a Mouse on your QL ?

Wondering how many here that own an original QL are using a mouse on theirs.

Feel free to elaborate on what you use the mouse for such as a GUI of some kind or particular apps that can use one.

Maybe even offer brand and type of mouse being used and how it interfaces to the QL.

Thanks

Re: Internet and the QL

Am I wrong but I seem to remember I saw some little black box that did something like you explain. Is this device still something made and for sale? One that comes with all needed to connect? TJ

Internet and the QL

Don't know enough yet about what the QL can and can't do, but is there a way to get the QL on the Internet these days for some basic things... eMail IRC Limited Web Surfing to older Text sites Stuff like that. I see with Spectranet the ZX Spectrum line can these days. Curious what the QL can do. TJ

Toastrack Numeric Keypad on a QL? Possible?

Toastrack Numeric Keyboard External Keypad! Wonder if something like this could be of interest to the QL community also? Maybe someone that knows these things could make an adapter to make this work. Would look slick with a QL... and after all.. it is a business computer! hehe. Thoughts? https://tin...
