ED disks for sale

Hi, With COVID spring cleaning time, I found some boxes of used ED disks which were given to me some years ago. If anyone wants them, please say so and I will work out postal charges. (ED disks are quite heavy). Otherwise , to be given away, after I will have formatted and tested them all... as they...

Re: QL PSU, Microdrive units and Keyboard Interface

Hi Klaus,

Postage charge is 12.55 euros... because the heat sink is heavy !

If you want the unit, 'PM' me with your postal address.

You can pay by cheque in euros when you receive it.

Regards,

Steve.

Re: How to start a SBASIC from other languages (e. g. C, ASM)

Hi Tofro, Thanks. Yes, These wave sub-programs compile OK under Turbo, but there are issues : With EX, EXEC, EXECUTE or EXECUTE...TO..., the KEYHOLE method does transfer keypresses as usual instantly. But, only the last task executed dsiplays its screen output... which is not true when the sub-progr...

Re: How to start a SBASIC from other languages (e. g. C, ASM)

Hi again, The latest 'waves' program has inkey$ testing within the inner loops, as fast as we can get. But the Qlib compiled jobs are much too slow under QDOS, because of heavy wave calculations. What's more, the QDOS task_switching is so slow you have to wait seconds for jobs to switch, before they...

Re: How to start a SBASIC from other languages (e. g. C, ASM)

Hi Norm, I have simplified the KEYHOLE method : Now I just RESPR(buffer) in my BOOT program, and open a keyhole file to print the base address to. Then any job can open the RAM keyhole file and input the buffer base address, which it can then use as required... So NoTHING required ! The deQuirked 'w...

Re: How to start a SBASIC from other languages (e. g. C, ASM)

Hi Tofro & per, Thanks for your comments. Yes, I was very lucky using QPC2 : Otherwise I doubt if I would have suceeded at all .... I took your advice abot RESR() etc, and now have even a safe QDOS working program version. ! Tested and beta-tested. Just a few quirks to eliminate, as we are worki...

Re: How to start a SBASIC from other languages (e. g. C, ASM)

Hi everybody, The multitasking program, (in the last posting), runs OK under qpc2, but fails under Qemulator. First, Qemulator refuses to EX several SMSQ/E programs_bas. It will EXEC Qlib compiled programs though. Also, there seems to be a Qemu problem with ALCHP() : A Boot program reserves some mem...

Re: How to start a SBASIC from other languages (e. g. C, ASM)

Capture d’écran (366).jpg Hi Norm, Here is a screen shot of five jobs running together. As you see, I only need to transmi keys 1 2 3 4 5 or a b c d e . This needed ten-char POKE$ and PEEK$, using a pseudo-binary string '12345abcde', where INKEY$="" are represented by zeros. So job1, say,...
