Hi,
Nice site - One comment, though:
It would be nice if your "Warehouse" or "Magazzino" section would mention the original authors of the presented software on the page - As it looks now, one could imply you're claiming authorship for those packages.
Regards,
Tobias

Re: Treasure trove
Per, this looks to me like a Minerva MkII - The version that didn't just replace the ROM, but added I²C, a BOOT device that could hold a small amount of SuperBASIC to divert the BOOT process to the network and a working battery back-up for the real-time clock: http://tfs.firshman.co.uk/ql/minerva.ht...

Re: ROM to RAM ToolKit Conversion
Maybe they can be lured into releasing the product in to the wild by telling them "Prospero has just made their former QL Pascal compiler publicly available"?

Re: Qemulator and ROMS
Probably nothing. If I remember right, the MCC Pascal ROM command tried to write into its program code. If it succeeded, it considered itself pirated (because not running from a ROM). I do not know whether you can write protect the ROM area on QEmulator. If you could, that probably would solve your ...

Per,
that's most probably Tony Firshman's ROMDisq.

And you were savy years ago and only bought the 4MB version

Re: Today 30 years ago...
Didn't QPC2 used to copy over the QL screen location into the top left hand corner for such eventualities (although this would presumably not work in high colour mode). It didn't seem to work even in standard QL colour mode with higher resolution so maybe this screen mirroring is broken... Rich, la...

Re: bitwise operators
Apparently, bitwise operators work on integer variables only in the original QDOS.
SMSQ/E accepts floating point numbers (and converts them to 32-bit longs before applying the operator)
So working/non working can very well depend on the value you tried.

You were close:
NOT is the "logical" NOT operator
~ (single tilde) is the "binary" NOT operator (according to the QPC concepts guide, and that is wrong)
~~ is the right one....

Re: uQLx for ARM error
Is there a way/a command to start uQLx with 1024x768 resolution? qxxx gives 800x600 (only). Yep. You can change the ${HOME}/.uqlxrc file. That holds the resolutions for the qx[x] commands. qxxx's screen size would be controlled by the "SIZE_3" configuration parameter. You can apparently g...
