unfortunately the ql+ with wafer-drive has not made it to production , nice idea tough.

looking for prototypes is FUN !!

the external mdv is for the classic ql , not the ql+

this made me interested in the differences .

what is the difference between a ql microdrive and the spectrum version ?

are they the same or ....... ( i know the cables are different ) .

who can shine a light on this question ?

pcb's have already arrived , now waiting for all other components .

starts to look like it should ,


still much sanding needed , some filler too ( still to find out what to use ) ,
dome is way too small i know ( a bigger one is ordered ).
Base needs to be painted but run out of red .................

So , i decided to add a membrane for future use ( if i get all info to include a pi4 emulating a ql ) It already looks a bit better , but what a problems to find glue which can work on this 3d printed plastic ( i had to start all over al least 3 times ) . So , right now there is 1 unit still available ( with 3d printed case ) .

All parts needed have arrived today , so tomorrow evening is assembly-time !!

And testing will be for friday .
