Jupiter Ace

Whether they definevthe British computer culture is open to personal taste.

Hi,

I downloaded and this last week, a little subjective, in that some of the subject content did not reflect the title.

I think the author missed out a few computers that were around.

But it is free so no real complaints.

Hi, I would remove the capacitors from the Microdrive board and test the capacitance with an ESR meter, this should give an indication of the requirement to chnage the capacitors, same for the the other components, should be removed and tested off board. Hi,

I connected a Q68 to my LAN and successfully connected to SMSQmulator on my Linux laptop, using the Q68 as as server, I could transfer files with the Qpac2 Files Thing.

All works very nicely, excellent work.

Hi Norm,

I loaded the manual into lyx and exported the tge file as HTML, loaded into Calibre which converted to Epub very nicely.

Ecept for your footnotes, which were exportdd as HTML pages.

I could create the footnotes correctly in each page, but maybe this is tedious to do...

Hi Paul, I will give your OOP(OOF) example a try. I like to programme in Forth, that does not mean I am any good at it, but I like to try. I mainly use Linux computer with emulators for QL, the main use is gforth in Linux, but there does seem to be differences in the way gforth works and other books...

I find this interesting, OOF is something I have just learned about.

I like to use SupperForth on tbe QL, gforth on Linux/Android, but which is the best Forth to use?
