Re: CST Thor 1 EPROM problem

Hi, I used to have a some Thor 1 expansion boards, but they suffered from battery leakage. I gave to another forum user, in the hope he could get his Thor working. I only have the disk drives, case with no PSU, Thor Eprom expansion board. I will see if the Eproms on the Expansion board are readable....

Re: Atari TT030 QVME

I remember now that the video drivers I was thinking about were for Atari TOS to use the QVME. The "QL" ones were built in to SMSQ/E and could be tweaked at boot time. Yes, Jochen supplied a disk to use the QVME with high resolution (b/w) under TOS, this also set a "Cookie" so A...

Re: Atari TT030 QVME

Hi, Per, I read the Atari SMSQ/E manual and used the command: DISP_SIZE 800,600,70,,128,60 Which gave a nice 800x600 display on the VGA monitor. When I more time, I will play around with the DISP_SIZE command to get the maximum display size. Just goes show if the information is in the manual, I just...

Re: Atari TT030 QVME

Hi, I forgot about the SMSQE.PRG config blocks, looking the configuration with Menuconfig, there is default setting of 15Khz in the Horizontal Frequency. The monitor I used on the QVME is a HP LE1901w which gives frequencies of: Horizontal: 24 - 83 kHz Vertical: 50 - 76 Hz So will replace the Horizo...

Re: Poll: CPU choice

Hi Dave, It will take a QL-SD just like the originals. Expansions will work the same way, too. This looks an excellent feature, all my expansions can work. It will take SuperHermes. SERnet should work fine. Sernet on the Superhermes does not work, as the Superhermes SER3 driver can use the STX/SRX S...

Re: What are my Joystick options for stock QL?

Hi TJ,

QL to Atari Joystick (DB9) can be purchased on ebay.

I have the parts to make some adapters, whiut I have been a little busy at present.

I will see if I can get the adapters made.

Re: Atari TT030 QVME

Hi Per, I loaded the Atari SMSQ/E which has the Atari Screen driver included in it, I tried the Level E drivers and the Mono screen driver. All resulting in an out of range error message on the monitor. The QVME card works on the Mega STE, I thought maybe there was something special to do on the TT0...

Re: Poll: CPU choice

Hi Dave, For my needs, I do not require Microdrives. I usually remove them and use Disk or SD Card. I use SERnet, between Q68, Q60, QPC2 at 115200 baud, which is faster than the QL Network. Can you improve on the video output to a modern monitor without video upscaler. With regards to operating syst...

Atari TT030 QVME

Hi, I have just aquired an Atari TT030, which had problems with RTC clock battery leakge. The TT030 runs all Atari software okay, SMSQ/E in mono mode, all hardware is accessible form SMSQ/E. I plugged the QVME card into the VME interface and started up the TT030. Loading SMS/E loads up and monitor g...
