Re: TF Services Interfaces and BBC Micro:bit

Hi Tony, I have the QL Forum streamed via RSS Feed into my email client, in my case Thunderbird. To reply to a message I click on the QL Forum Web Site URL on the RSS message. Direct email can only via a Private Message, which the Forum software sends an email notification to the user that a Private...

Re: Gotek drive in ql help needed

Hi, The unmodified Gotek uses DOS based 8+3 file names with 99 or 999 slots depending on tge the type either 720Kb or 1.44Mb To save data a way of reading MSDOS disks will be required, or use of SMSQ/E. And a disk controller that can access 720Kb and 1.44Mb disk formats. But there is a free flash up...

Re: TF Services Interfaces and BBC Micro:bit

Hi, The Q68 has a I2C interface on tge board, which I have fitted a SIL header. All Tony's Inferfaces can be used. The only problem is the lack of external I2C connector when the Q68 board is fitted into a case. I did think of fitting a 4 pin mini Din socket to the side, but this drilling the case a...

Re: QPAC2 Files Foible in QPC2 on Linux.

Hi Norm,

I forgot to update the forum, I updated Wine from 3.04 to wine-4.0-rc6, now QPC2 works, looks like a bug in the Wine system.

I am using the nouveau graphic driver, will try the nVidia driver.

Re: PCML Q+ Disk interface ram fitted or not?

Hi,

Most PCML interfaces had 256Kb of ram, from the blurrly photograph, the memory chips look to be 256 chips.

You always put the interface into a QL with Minerva installed, which tell you how ram the system holds.

Re: PCML Q+ Disk interface ram fitted or not?

Hi,

You could load Toolkit 2 and use the FREE_MEM function. Or upload a photograph with the cover off.

Re: Q68 Ethernet

Hi, Just had thought, if you put the software to be transferred to the Q68 in a FLP or MDV image, with QEMulator and copy these files to the FAT1 partition. Then copy the FLP/MDV images to a QWA partion and use FDI/MDI to ,ount the images as drives. You could also leave the image file on the FAT par...

Re: New (old) game: Rockfall

Please let me know if it works, what your operating system and emulator is. If anyone can convert it to an .mdv file for me I'd be grateful as I'd like to try it on the MiSTer hardware emulator. Hi Tuna, I downloaded both Rockfall files, I tried the WIN file on QEMulator running MInerva v1.98 Runni...

Re: Q68 Ethernet

Hi, You do not need a Serial Card, a USB - Serial adapter and a use a Null Modem lead to connect thePC to Q68. The Q68 does not have any hardware flow control. So you need to software flow control. I would not use Kermit, the QL implementation is not too good. Use QTPI on the Q68 side and any Termin...

Re: Q68 Ethernet

Derek, Could the soQL allow file transfer between PC / Q68? Whopper Hi, soQL could be used on the Q68 Serial port. I will have a look at this in due course to see if the current soQL package can be implemented. There is some source code in the soQL package, maybe could be another Github project. SE...
