Re: Hello from France

Hi Patrick,

I have sent you the screws as requested.

The keyboard retaining plate should be secured as shown below:

Re: Noddy Keyboard Almost

Hi,

The switch footprint is okay, once imported into PCB-NEW. I importrd it into a project specific library.

There does not seem to be a Schematic symbol file.

Do you know the manufacturer of the switch?

Re: Knoware.no

Hi Per, I seem to have alot of half finished programming projects, the hardware side seems to get in the way. I do take you point on the manipulation of jpeg files, but this does not seem a priority for me at present. I wonder if new software were to written, would potential uses want high resolutio...

Re: Faster CPU plug in extensions, How?

Hi, It was a pity about the MegaRam board, which I tried to purchase, based on the review in QL World. But in retrospect, maybe the MegaRam was a bad idea, would it of worked with Minerva, which was the operating system to use at that time. I always thought an expansion port could be made with conne...

Re: QL USER type-in programs

Hi, Is it worth starting a project to type in all the QL World Microdrive Exchange programmes? I have been typing in some assembler programmes, but maybe I should start at the first issue and type the programmes in. I do not think the listings can be OCRed, due to the way the magazines have been sca...

Re: Noddy Keyboard Almost

Hi, The Footprint is missing from the zip file. But I will add the Schematic symbol to my keyboard schematic and see if I can work out the footprint. Do you have a data sheet for the switch? The other slight issue is the connection to the QL Board, which needs a ribbon cable or cable with a thin PCB...

Re: Knoware.no

Hi, I do not think the Q68 is slow, if the non High Colour modes are not used, except for 523x384 Mode 33. I mainly use the standard QL screen modes, but mainly use 1024x768 Mode 4, there is not much software that used the High Colour graphics. The Q68 is running as a 68000 CPU, not having a multipl...

Re: QL USER type-in programs

Hi, I have been looking at some of the older QL World magazine listings, it looks to me, that they do not seem to understand the Superbasic language. For example, use of NEXT instead of END FOR, the EXIT statement , they usual use GO TO to exit a REPeat loop. Some listing use GOTOs to jump out of a ...

Re: Noddy Keyboard Almost

Hi, I struggled a little with gEDA, mainly due thd tutorials being out of date. I liked PCB-RND, rather PCB. Imainly use KiCad, which installs quite easily and is a more obvious way of doing the CAD work flow. But that said, I can see rgd gEDA workflow is nearly the same, except all the applications...
