Hi,
Try putting Minerva as the ROM, the Ram Test will tell you which ram chip or section on the internal ram by displaying a memory location on the screen where the ram test failed.
This is an ehancement over the JS and earlier Roms.

Hi,
I could not read the comment in yellow, as I get the QL Forum by RSS feed.
Only when I selected the message and Thunderbird with ThunderBrow Addon opened the web page, could I read the comment.

Hi, The drive select pins will be hard wired and the drives will be assumed to be used on a PC. I think all you need is a standard floppy drive cable with twist in the cable between Drive 1 & 2. I have a few of these, if you send your address in a Private Message I will send you one to try. Derek

Hi, I remember in 1992, I tried to buy a MegaRam from ABC Elektonik, but they decided to keep the money, which was nearly 200 pounds. But I was advised to write to the German County Court, who obtained a refund. I have the ABC QSound board, which seems to still work, pity that they were not so forth...

Hi, If you are using Minerva, you can use the extended MODE command to switch between the First and Second screen. You could write on Screen 1 then change to Second 2 or vice versa. The syntax for the extended MODE command is in the Manual, it has been nearly 15 years since I thought of this. I did ...

Hi, Why use a PC??? The problem with the use of QL emulators is that any development does not get done. There is no email, browser programmes on the QL, mainly because everyone including me uses a PC with a QL emulator, where the PC will have very good internet software. I would like 2 SD Cards read...

Hi Dave,
How about an LCD interface, so that a Portable QL or QL-Laptop could be made.

Re: Hello from Austria!
Hi Dave, I could not find in article any mention of the sale of the Q40... but the reason for asking was that I had to repair the Q40 board, due some sloppy construction (by Qbranch probably) there was some internal tracks in the inner power layer that had become broken. This is usually overheating ...
