Re: 68K-MBC

In case anyone else bought or built one of these, I did in the end find a very nice, super-simple full screen editor: Simple Kitten Editor, written by a Japanese programmer who goes by the name SkyRiver (@wincp on Twitter) https://piclabo.blog.ss-blog.jp/CPM68K_SKED You will need to download the ske...

Re: Sir Clive passed away.

Sad news indeed. Like many here, I started my career in IT thanks to learning to program (badly) on a Spectrum and then later on at uni, (only slightly less badly) on a QL (via a BBC at school). Several decades later, here I am writing backend systems* (now somewhat better quality) for multi-nationa...

Re: Today I Received...

Latest haul, garnered over the last couple of weeks.

The Dragon, ZX81 and Sam Coupé ones are all brand new reprints of the originals, and the Colour Maximite 2 one is me using a print service. CBASIC manuals are for my adventures in CP/M-land.

Re: ST Basic - inspired by QDOS?

Relating this thread, yes Metacomco had an eye on the QL’s SuperBASIC while developing ST BASIC for ATARI Corporation and yes, even they did BASIC interpreters before ST BASIC and knew the QL and its SuperBASIC quite well, they failed to create something big, something flexible and something expand...
