Re: QubIDE 3.10

Hi Rich, Sorry for the typo in the command win_disk you. You are right. About size, some makers compute mega and giga as 1000 and others as 1024. Win_disk expect size in megabytes as 1=1024*1024 bytes. To know real size of cf card, use Win_disk detail,1 This will show you geometry as CHS and you can...

Re: QubIDE 3.10

Hi Rich, I don't see What happenned with pc utility but it seems that it corrupted partition 1 on the cf card. The lake with data structure on qubide disk is the fact that partitions table resides inside partition 1 at sector zero (i never liked this but it is compatibility requirement ). In this ca...

Re: QubIDE 3.10

I think we have to be sure firstly the upgrade is ok before searching issues on cf card adapter or cf card incompatibly. This is why I asked to connect a normal ide hard disk if possible and make sure GAL ships are placed in the good order respectively. Also, try to restart driver after boot with wi...

Re: QubIDE 3.10

Have you tried to connect any previous working ide disk to the upgraded qubide ?
Could you tell me what the driver displays on boot please ?
Regards

Re: Four hard drives on the same Qbide

Giorgio, I can confirm it is possible to use four drives on qubide even up to 32 drives. This is exactly why I started the qubata driver for qubide but you need also a little add-on hardware using the expander connector (only old original qubide has this feaure). I don't know if this kind of add-on ...

Re: QubIDE 3.10

I presume you are using some ide to cf card adapter. So it may depend on how this adapter is powered. Generally adapters are powered either with a 5 volts floppy type connector or by pin 20 from the ide connector itself. Unfortunately original qubide doesn't supply the 5v power on pin 20 (clone does...

Re: Problem with making partitions

There are 2 others jumpers j4/j5 on tetroid allowing select 5v/9v but may be not all produced tetroid have this jumpers. If they are here, you should remove them for 9v (default for original ql). If no, this means your tetroid card has an auto switch capability. Have you tried adding new partitions ...

Re: Problem with making partitions

Ah, sorry I didn't catch it :0( Anyway I still thinking it is not a rom version problem. Almost of problems that I have encountered was a voltage issue or a real incompatible cf cards (unfortunately not all cards work on all controllers even on PCs or cameras). Could you please tell me what system a...

Re: Promlem with making partitions

No, it is not a js rom problem.
You have only missed initialization the new cf card which is necessary once before creating first partition.

This could be made with :

WIN_FORMAT 1
WIN_DISK INIT,1

And then proceed to make partitions and format.
