Re: ZXSimulator

Hi Per, there are no files with "ZX" in their names in my DP Collection I'm afraid. :( These are mine: DP_QL1 0/1440 sectors. BIBLE1_zip 150133 04/01/95 18:45:52 v1 BIBLE2_zip 156049 04/01/95 18:46:02 v1 BIBLE3_zip 160554 04/01/95 18:46:11 v1 BIBLE4_zip 24077 04/01/95 18:46:13 v1 BOOT 294 ...

Re: ZXSimulator

Thanks Dilwyn, you've saved me lots of time. I was creating a zx-81 font from the actual font data in the zx-81 ROM which I found on-line.

Stay safe.

Cheers,
Norm.

Re: QL-SD ROM

Surprise, I developed some piece of hardware: https://www.kilgus.net/2020/03/28/ql-sd-rom-the-early-days I read this and got really excited by it. Then I remembered that I use QPC2 on Linux. I got all deflated after that. :( Looks like an excellent piece of kit Marcel, well done. Cheers, Norm.

Re: Comparing Sinclair QL to Commodore 64

Hi Ralf, the Pi has HDMI and composite out for video. I have a Pi connected through an active HDMI -> VGA adaptor to use my (very old) Dell monitor with it. No sound on VGA though, unlike HDMI. This cable is used to get composite video and sound onto a non-HDMI TV: https://thepihut.com/products/av-c...

Hi derek,

If you are doing an STL file, the holes are 3 mm from the base of the plug in section. I forgot to put that somewhat important measurement on the diagram.

Re: Digital C SE Foibles on QPC2

And another one. It seems that "fopen()" in Digital C returns a file descriptor, which is an int, not a FILE *. :( :o :? :x   :!: :!: :!: Where a file descriptor fd is mentioned, this is the value of the integer returned by fopen when the file is opened. This will make porting a...

Re: Power supply connector

This might be useful. You know those nifty little jumper wires you buy from Amazon and just about every Chinese manufacturer for use with Arduino and/or Raspberry Pi GPIO stuff? Well, I stuck the male end of one of those into the Ql's power plog holes - it fitted quite snugly and didn't fall out. Th...

Re: Power supply connector

The pins look to be 1mm diameter - at least on the power plug for my QL. It appears from an end on view, that these holes in the plug are actually slots - there's metal at the top and bottom. The holes are 1mm and 3 mm up from the base of the plug. QLPowerPlug.png The image is probably no use whatso...
