Q-Liberator v3.45

Version 3.45 of the Q-Liberator BASIC compiler has been launched. This version was submitted to me by Per Witte, who has done a fair bit of work on rationalising the distribution, by splitting the compiler into a runtime disk (what you need to compile programs) and a sources disc, for those who like...

Re: Launchpad

Hi Dilwyn, Any chance of getting Launchpad to work with Fileinfo2, this functionalty is probably one of the best features of a QL using the Extened Environment. I distributed Lauchpad with the Q68, which was setup on QPC2/SMSQmulator and worked on the Q68 with no problems I like tge use of custom s...

Re: Launchpad

I started to move from QDOS to SMSQE3.38 so I created a new .WIN drive image that I'll be using both on on my BBQL (SGC, QL-SD, mouse) and on QPC. Ideally the image should have some sort of GUI frontend and should work both on BBQL and on QPC The only GUI that works on both without much hassle seem...

Re: Knoware.no

Thereve been some changes to Knoware.no since the last announced update. I do react to feedback, although there isnt always a one-to-one correspondence between comments and improvements. Thus FSEL, StuffScrap, VALID%, etc, have had tweaks or makeovers. Ive done some more playing with sprites and bl...

Re: NOOB QUESTION: learning machine code

My preferred learning reference was Andrew Pennell's book "Assembly Language Programming On The QL-Programming The 68008 Microprocessor". Out of print for many years now, it was originally published by Sunshine. You occasionally get second hand copies on sites like eBay and sellmyretro.com...

Re: A number of noob questions - sorry!!

How did you get the program onto the QL. It sounds as if it may not have the "Resource Fork", as it would be called on the Mac, half of the file, only the "Data Fork". The RF holds meta data such as the file type and the stack size etc. Noob error I think, I unzipped the files o...

Re: W11 and the Blob

A blob has appeared on QPC2 and SMSQmulator under Windows 11: The Blob.jpg Its the s.c. Language bar that used to languish on the task bar/system tray, but now has become an unsightly a thingy in the window. Some people, like me, who use different keyboard layouts, need it, so wed rather not switch...

Re: Medical Advice

Erk, sounds nasty. I've known one or two people who've had this and it's not nice. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
