QWriter and Full House

Jochen Merz has given permission for two of his early softwares to be released as freeware. Full House is a fruit machine poker game similar to many arcade machines found in Germany in the 1980s. Written in 100% machine code with good colour graphics. No manual, just a reproduced review of the game ...

Re: Front Page

I do indeed have a manual for Front Page v1.01 (plus the solution to Nick Ward's wreck dive) which could be scanned in. Any volunteers? I scanned in the Front Page Extra and Front Page Extra 2 manuals. I was rather surprised my OCR did such a good job of it since the original dot matrix printouts w...

Re: SMSQ/E sources - mirror git repository

I'm in more or less the same position with the 'Minerva for Q68' project. It's unclear to me under which licence the Minerva source code was released - there is no copyright notice as far as I can see and the link to it on Dilwyn's page is dead. Jan. Thanks for pointing that out Jan. I've removed t...

Front Page

I'm pleased to announce that Peter Chambers of GAP Software has given permission for the Front Page range of QL desktop publishing programs to be made available as freeware. So I have made available copies of Front Page, Front Page Extra and Front Page Extra 2 programs. Front Page was the first vers...

Re: Random obscure survey...

An 8TB NAS on your QL? How did you connect them? How did you partition the NAS? Inquiring minds want to know! I'll bet Derek has a RAID-style array of QLs all with 2 x 100K microdrives to make up the 8TB NAS. Now how many microdrive cartridges is that? Probably more than the total number of QLs eve...

Re: Posting dates are 1 hour behind!

Many thanks to both of you for this, I've updated my own settings now too. Now all I need to work out is why Firefox takes 3 minutes to log me into this Forum sometimes (Chrome and IE both OK, although Firefox is what I use most now). Stop swearing at it in Welsh :-D It doesn't even seem to underst...

Re: Derek - Q68

Nice to hear you've got it up and running and that Derek is working so hard to make, sell and support these machines. Please let us know how you get on with your new "baby". I hope to get a Q68 myself in time, at the moment I don't have the time to justify ordering a Q68 just yet while Der...
