Re: Elaborate Bytes Toolkit v4.00.

Thanks Chr$, I've just uploaded them to the Toolkits page on my site http://www.dilwyn.me.uk/tk/index.html Great. I've clarified: They retain copyright, so not freeware, but they have no issue with it being shared. Same applies to their game Qpede, in case you have that one. There's a screenshot on...

Re: QL USER type-in programs

Hi, Is it worth starting a project to type in all the QL World Microdrive Exchange programmes? I have been typing in some assembler programmes, but maybe I should start at the first issue and type the programmes in. I do not think the listings can be OCRed, due to the way the magazines have been sc...

Re: QL USER type-in programs

Well, from what you describe, it's excactly behaving as it should. 98403 (or $18063) is the QL's display control register. Bit 1 (the value 2) blanks the display, bit 3 (value 8) switches between a MODE 4 and MODE 8 screen, while value 0 switches back to MODE 4 and an enabled display. It's very unl...

Re: QL USER type-in programs

I am currently debugging Stellaris - was published in in QL User June 1987 I have OCR-ed it and now I am correcting the mistakes - and also trying to correct some bugs in the original code. The first and most important problem I have encountered is the procedure: DEFine PROCedure ka(a): POKE 98403,...

Re: QL Radar (QL World mdv exchange no.58)

From what I remember, the version on my website was found on a disc of PD software from one of the USA groups many years ago. The REM statements say it was contributed by Joyce Blaho, with some troubleshooting modifications by Peter Hale (who used to run the software house Emsoft) and further modifi...

Re: Alternatives to C68

Graeme Gregory (XorA on this forum) and others have done some work on updating uQLx in recent times. Not sure where the sources are available, Github maybe? Or even if the up to date sources have been made available at all (I've been a bit removed from QL scene in recent months for all sorts of reas...

Re: Eidersoft (M)ICE Eprom question.

I've had to get quite angry with some people (all in the English speaking world) As opposed to the Welsh speaking world, you mean? ;) :D I hope that was intended as a joke as I find the reply extremely offensive. You have to be part of a minority to understand how offensive minorities find their tr...
