Magazines

Thanks to Brian Kemmett, the remaining issues of QL User magazine have now been scanned and are online as PDF files. He has also done the QL SUB magazines. We *think* this means that all issues of QL User and QL World are now scanned and online at last - if anyone knows differently let me know! Woul...

Re: Identify a QL related object - WRONG ANSWERS ONLY

Jammed expansion card extraction tool. I need one to get my Gold Card out of my QL #2, it's that snug a fit I struggle to remove the Gold Card. I thought it was the opposite - to help line up the expansion cards when slotting them into the QL - always a problem when trying to insert a Trump Card......

Great work Marcel, look forward to it becoming available! Theold solution of using the cheap City-Skys Chinese scart-hdmi upscaler worked well, including fixing the "missing pixels" issue, but was clumsy - see https://www.qlforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=770&hilit=city+skies+dilw...

Re: Optimal Flatscreen monitors for QL and Q68

Thank you Peter. Leaving useful information like this is always helpful. I'm reasonably content using the SCART-HDMI converter to plug my QL into a TV or monitor with HDMI connection, but it's a clumsy setup with too much cable. I've long thought that a more permanent solution for QL video is needed...

Re: QoogLe Search Engine - silly Friday.... but maybe not!

There is the Google Custom Search Engine on my site - it's meant to present QL-related search results. When I first implemented it, there were more QL-related websites and it worked better then than it does now that there are fewer QL-related websites around. Probably worth a revisit to see if it ca...

Re: Poll: Do you use a Mouse on your QL ?

I have a mouse of some type on all my systems, and unless I am specifically using or testing a non-mouse driven program I always connect and use the mouse as most of the programs I use day-to-day are all pointer driven. I hate trying to use the cursor keys to control pointer driven software. My syst...

Re: New Minerva ROMs for Q68

Is there a specific reason why QDOS was implemented on Q68? For example, to give a choice, or to run/test software on it, or to just see if it could be done?

Good to have a choice, of course.

Same here.
Still get the fast cursor for a while after QPC2 wakes from sleep, but at least the freeze problem has gone now.
