Re: Announcing availability of a QLNET driver for the Q68 (ND-Q68)

On this Father's Day (in the UK, anyway), I am pleased to announce the availability of driver software that allows you to finally network the Q68 with other QL-compatible machines via the standard QLNET ports. The ready-to-run driver as well as the source code are attached below and I'll call upon ...

Re: ICL OPD

Not sure if this is considered a compatible, but it does share some common hardware components. Acquired a motherboard and processor board for this recently - does anyone have a service manual or circuit diagrams for this beasty? Or perhaps have any details for the pin outs for the ROM card at the ...

Re: Warlock of Firetop Mountain

I had a quick look - at least LOC_078 is missing as a procedure in both copies. and LOC_999 is missing in both copies - this should be the ending procedure, when you die. Would be nice if someone with an interest in and knowledge of adventures tried to complete the game by adding suitable routines ...

Re: Warlock of Firetop Mountain

If you do not know how to look at MDV files, I have created a ZIP file see attached. Lost in a cave ...? ;) The zip file has ended up in Wales, let me see if I can shove it back through Ralf's cave and into QL Forum... Actually, it looks to be well indented and fairly easy to read, althou...

nor did I think that selling pizzas on the High Streets of the UK was a great idea. Just don't ask Dilwyn to go with you to an Indian restaurant. It may give problems the next morning... :D Hey Ralf, with that comment we'll have to change the thread title to something like "Assymmetric mis-pro...

Re: Symmetric multiprocessing...

What might people do with something loosely based on those types of ideas? Personally, I can't think of anything I could do with this sort of setup. But then again, I could never see that email would catch on, nor did I think that selling pizzas on the High Streets of the UK was a great idea. It's ...

Re: Hello and my QL experience so far

Thank you thank you. I simply used the RGB to Scart cable that I already had for the +3! I picked up an old flat screen TV locally (non HDMI) for 5 Euros. Actually that leads me to another question: When in F2 monitor mode, the final pointer screen with the top menus (I think it's the qman2 screen?...

Greek QL User Guide

Thanks to Christos Kotampitsis, I've been able to add a scanned copy of the QL User Guide shipped with Greek versions of the QL. It comes in two parts. The book with the blue cover is the first part of the manual. The second book with the black cover is about the four Psion programs. These books wer...

Re: QLCOMMANDER - testers and help needed

Can't seem to find the answer here but: Can QLcommander be used to modify file type, like, making the file executable? It might come handy sometimes. While it's not exactly calming bedtime reading, there's an article on my blog about restoring broken executable file headers, either using the SEXEC ...
