Re: Minerva dual screens

I seem to remember putting a fair bit about this in the SBASIC/SuperBASIC Reference Manual - Mode command and Appendix A1 (reminds me - is anyone struggling with the index on the left hand side not scrolling?) Other helpful keywords are: https://superbasic-manual.readthedocs.io/en/latest/D/default-s...

Re: centronics interface schematics???

It is not the UART - it is the GPIO pin transmission - the serial pins are the i2c pins so far as I understand. I am not a hardware guy (the hardware is designed by Sascha Heinisch) - I just recall that we found we needed to buffer the data to get it over the GPIO pins without losing some of the dat...

Re: centronics interface schematics???

Plain text, HTML and Postscript is probably not what Derek wanted. But there is a Raspberry open source project for converting Epson ESC/P and ESC/P2 dot matrix and inkjet printer data, too. Which is, as far as I know, the basis of the Retro-Printer Derek mentioned. The Retro-Printer hardware is de...

Re: Sam the Little Spaceman

Way back when the thread was about Sam the Little Spaceman, there were some comments about the game not running from disk - giving out of memory or getting so far on Minerva and crashing. Back in the depths of my memory, I don't think I ever got Sam the Little Spaceman to work from disk. The reason?...

Welcome to the forums, you will probably recall me (Rich Mellor) and Dilwyn on here from back in the day!

Richard Alexander still pops his head up on these forums once in a while.

Re: Sinclair QL vDrive - Load & Use Applications and Games - Video

whenever I do a 'format ram1_mdv1_' it always seems to spin up mdv2_ and copy that drive to RAM instead of mdv1_. Very odd. Obviously because I know it's going to happen I just put whatever I want to copy to ram in mdv2_. Possibly it is the trailing underscore - correct commadn is FORMAT ram1_mdv1

Re: Super Sprite Generator issues

It is worth sharing the assembler - it sounds as though 16 bytes was supposed to be sprite 0 to sprite 15 (rather than 1 to 16).

The swap suggests that the it is not a double swap - ie the unused sprite overwrites the used one, but does not store the original sprite in the unused area.

Re: Stellaris - QL World Mdv Exchange no 25

I have probably got this preserved when I get chance I will share it on here.

I did not want to say in relation to the QL World programs, because part of the interest is in typing them in and getting them working. Several did have errata printed in later copies of QL World too.

Re: Cumana Floppy Interface and Toolkit

You may need to enter FLP_EXT to enable the QJUMP extensions built into the interface.

Loading and starting Toolkit II as you state, can also be used instead without any issue.
