Re: Q40/Q60

It has been said that OSSC converters can provide that, if they are well tuned. But one has to be careful about the various variants. Also I find them clumsy and expensive. I have tried OSSC and gbs-control on Q60 and I could not find a setting on either that would successfully display the full Q60...

Re: FPGA replacment for the ZX8301 ULA and more

PCEN peripheral chip enable. Surely any ZX8301 replacement will need to provide it for ZX8302 on pre issue 6 QLs (also TXOE).

Re: FPGA replacment for the ZX8301 ULA and more

I'll reconsider the expansion port but new pcb from the begining and new tests ... :  Ah, it was only theoretical question not practical. Your achievement this far has been tremendous 8-) I have to admit that there is a problem with those red tall cpu sockets They are very flaky, easily splitt...

Re: FPGA replacment for the ZX8301 ULA and more

Curiosity has got the better of me so please excuse naivety. Re using expansion bus:

For issue 6 the HAL deals with PCEN (pcen = a16 * /a17 * /a6 * dsmc)

On issue 5 and earlier, wouldn't it be possible to drop in simple decode board for PCEN and TXOE (ZX8302).

Great stuff, BTW which FPGA did you end up using.

(Would it all fit in a Tang Nano 20K ?)

Re: QubATA without burning ROM?

I don't use QubATA (I have v2 Qubide so I can use Iomega removable disks), but the author frequents this site : viewtopic.php?p=35106#p35106
