Re: New microdrive internal replacement

Hi all one. Little modifications on the board that already are tested. Driver : Added safety electrical border area. UX is separated from IDC connector in order to revise or to change it in case of damage. IDC has some holes under it to open it easily. Screws area now have a non electrical surface, ...

Re: FPGA replacment for the ZX8301 ULA and more

Thank you I have to admit that there is a problem with those red tall cpu sockets on the QL boards and at least I have to find longer pins than those I'm using for the ula socket. If I see that this doesn't work well, I'll reconsider the expansion port but new pcb from the begining and new tests .....

Nice,
I don't have any of those, and I won't have it. So that is great to fit my developed board that I am building on.

Great job!

Re: FPGA replacment for the ZX8301 ULA and more

Hi,
what you are creating is just... AMAZING! :)
It is growing up farther than expected. Thus I wonder, will you do a synthesized version with just the ZX8301 ULA replacement?

Thank you for everything

Re: New microdrive internal replacement

Breaking news. Just new shape that fits the original cartridges boxes. Doing some tests about electrical issues that could appear due to some modifications on the side guides, all looks fine :) As soon as possible I will share the Gerbers. https://i.postimg.cc/NLQzQTkD/20240329-014449.jpg https://i....

Re: Switching Regulator?

I wonder, why not use another DCDC converter that could be different one? not traco. There are some better (I think) with more power load but alse the signal with less noise. IMHO, while it is smaller than the heatsink... that is good. Depending on the filters peaks are avoid or flattered much bette...
