Re: TRD format compatible with QL?
The QL also came with a CST Q-disc, any chance that is 1.44 compatible? I don't think the CST has any extra RAM though. No 720KB Goteks seem to be available easily any longer, which is why I inquired about the FlashFloppy firmware, which seems to be based on Lotharek's open-sourced floppy emu product.

TRD format compatible with QL?
I connected a 1.44 standard Gotek onto my QL/Trump and it wasn't super compatible. Is the TRD (Spectrum TR-DOS) format usable, and of any advantage? It is one of the formats supported by the FlashFloppy firmware replacement project.

Re: Los Angeleno visiting Belfast, any Sinclair shops?
And so it turned out that a shop called "Cash Converters" was the only place that had anything interesting.

Los Angeleno visiting Belfast, any Sinclair shops?
Are there any retro-computer or gaming related shops in or around Belfast where I might pick up Sinclair related items? There is absolutely nothing available in California.

Re: QL rubber keypad sticking
With the RWAP "mylar" installed (That was fast considering it shipped to California) and the rubber cleaned without any of the dramatic alternatives that I originally imagined, everything is A-OK. I assume the error from the tape drive is just because the tape itself has gone bad. I hadn't...

Re: QL rubber keypad sticking
While I'm waiting for the keyboard mylar, I pieced together a SCART to HDMI setup. I have no idea if the Gotek will work yet. Does anyone have an opinion about the Trump revision 1.2a? I have found a 1.36 revision on the web, and could update the rom if it is worth the trouble. No idea whereCare/Qju...

Re: QL rubber keypad sticking
a little bit of unbuffered wintergreen oil (methyl salicylate) mixed 3:1 with alcohol used as a soak for 5-7 days can help. ...you had an interesting chem class. I think when the RWAP mylar arrives I'll do the wash suggestion, if that doesn't do the trick, I'll try the oils, thanks all for your help.

QL rubber keypad sticking
I just came across a sweet QL, and have ordered a new keyboard mylar from the UK. A few of the keys, however, don't pop back after being pressed, it seems the rubber is becoming a bit stale. My initial thought is to paint some rubber cement onto the rubber domes with the aim to make it a bit more re...
