Re: vDrive Psion Programs For QL

Genetika,

The vMap is a great addition to the vDriveQL. Worth it's weight in gold (IMHO)

NORM!!!!
you're not supposed to point out typos. Well not mine any way.

I make far too many to have each one highlighted.

Re: vDrive Psion Programs For QL

One of the first things I did with my vDrive QL was to set up three banks for the Psion programs to auto boot and have common areas for saving data. It worked like a charm. I am really glad I bought this device (think I have two QL versions and a Spectrum version) love the gay they just work. Sent f...

GWASL MOVE.B

Hi All, Hopefully this question isn't quite as stupid as the last one. I am using the GWASL assembler for a project. I wish to code a line thus- " move.b #$ac,(i2c_clk)" Where there is also a line - "i2c_clk equ $1c1c0" Now this works using EASy68K, and seems legal when I decode ...

Address register usage

Hi All, It's stupid question time, again! I'm doing some assembler programming and wonder what the 'normal' usage of address registers A4, A5 & A6 are. Can I use these with impunity? Will the civilisation as we know it collapse? OK, maybe not quite that bad but are there problems or effects that...

Re: Q68 I2C addresses.

The Q68 manual is correct regarding i2C addresses. Note that the clock register is output only, nothing you can read there. Peter, Thank you for this. Now I need to check the actual pins and their levels, but I would have needed to do that anyway. If the CLK ($1C1C0) is un readable, how do you chec...

Re: Q68 I2C addresses.

Derek, Currently I am using SuperBasic PEEK & POKE to control the IO ports. I intend to bitbilt the ports to drive the Q68s I2C pins directly. The pins themselves will drive a level changer to the desired voltage for the external device. The coding is being done in assembler and C. There are no ...

Re: Q68 I2C addresses.

Derek, Thanks for the reply. I have also examined the Q68 manual and that section. However While I can control $1C1C4, i.e. set it to 1 and read back a 1, then set it to 0 and read back a 0, I cannot set / reset $1C1C0. It remains a 0 no mater what I do. So I was wondering if the manual was in error...

Q68 I2C addresses.

Hi All,

Please could someone confirm for me the memory addresses for the I2C clock and I2C data lines.

I seem to be able to control $1C1C4 & $1C1C6 but not $1C1C0.

Thanks,
