Yet another Qubata "Bad FAT" post...
I am seeing the same issue on a couple of machines - both have Qubata 3.10, but one is very simply setup - DOM or CF adapter plugged directly into the QUBIDE card. I run through the set of commands that I've seen in the manual and on various posts here, and it's when I get to the penultimate step of...

Re: Announcing the new "Gold Card" - QIMSI Gold
They serve different purposes, and if you by one of each they can talk to each other :-) (No, I'm not trying to sell them :-) ) My experience with both of these devices has been very positive, and the support has been excellent too. If you are coming back to the QL (like I was), then the Q68 is a go...

Re: Announcing the new "Gold Card" - QIMSI Gold
It has networking too - you just need to connect the I/O pin to suitable small circuit - similar to how it works on Q68, you also get one serial port - no hardware handshaking - that will run at good speeds.

Re: Hypothetical question - Gold Card + Qubide + QIMSI
ok - so I should have read Marcel Kilgus' excellent notes on the Gold and SuperGold card boot sequences - it's all about where things are stored in the final phase. I had assumed that the patch part of the ROM was going to end up being resident at 0x01C000, but it doesn't - it's contents are there -...

Re: Breaking news: The QIMSI Interface
Please be aware that you need PS2 mouse + Keyboard. Note that USB will not work, als I tested some USB mouses from the "working" list, but they don't. ... And before the question even comes up: I will definitely not write or port a full Windows/Linux-like USB stack for QDOS. Peter, I full...

Wanted - QL bottom part of case
Ideally not cut up too much, but if it's only minor or you've added a hole for socket for an internal extension - that's fine.
If you have a whole empty case, that would also be considered, as I was going to get a new top for one.

Re: Close, but no cigar..
The partitions on the zip can be unlinked / unmounted, and the 'disk' in the zip drive changed, so not hot swappable, but "luke warm". It was more as a backup strategy that I included it, and as a possible means to transfer large numbers of files, as I have an XP computer that I have a zip...

Re: Close, but no cigar..
Well - it's now booting and loading a keyboard driver - and the compact AT keyboard that I saw recommended is working a treat. Now to format some mass storage and get things moving along a little - I will take some pics later today. I also want to try a ZIP drive. I think I've placed my 40 pin heade...

Re: SuperHermes Questions
I think I got some or all of my answers from testing Qemulator with the floppy drive. I was able to read and copy the contents of my "SuperHermes" floppy - only to find it was more likely a Hermes version - their are no country specific files, and the main bin file is much smaller than the...
