Re: QMAC

Would the C68 sources at some point, be put on GitHub under the SinclairQL account? Or does Dave have objections to this? Asking for a friend. (Ok, asking for me!) :D He gave me his personal .WIN file with everything on it and told me to do as I see fit. It's been a while that I've worked on this a...

Re: Dhrystone compiled on BBQL with Digital C SE

Maybe it's greater than in the current spec but that's not always been the case. I have certainly used compilers where short and int were the same size. Short and int may be the same size and that has always been allowed. Since 1978 spec short mist be shorter or equal in size to long. In 1988 short...

Re: Dhrystone compiled on BBQL with Digital C SE

The rule of thumb with regard to bit size is short <= int <= long <= long long, etc... But yes, it's much easier when dealing with old systems since on the QL via Digial C SE it's 16 bits for int and 32 bits for long. Always good to know the compiler and platform one compiles on. That’s not a rule ...

Comments are only allowed as the first statement in a line (similar to shell scripting). So you line:

Pretty much all shells I use the comment must be the LAST thing on the line (it does not matter that it is also the first).

Re: sQLux v1.0 (The Xmas Turkey)

With quite a bit of testing and some optimisations from Exile sQLux is now multi threaded, I have not had time to test on a slower platform like Pi0 v2 but on multi core systems like that it should show a good increase in speed of both CPU emulation and GFX rendering!

Re: sQLux Detection

Didnt someone somewhere else mention an extension where you can do

EXISTS UQLX_RELEASE$

To test for existence with still being generic?

Re: sQLux Detection

Hi, I use SMSQ/E in QPC2, SMSQmulator and sQLux using the same QLWA container, so the boot file selects the extenstions to be loaded, based on the VER$ being equal to 'HBA' and the SMSQ/E MACHINE function. If sQLux is running, I use the UQLX_RELEASE$ to load sQLux extensions, is there a better way ...

Re: Serial connection between QL and PC

Considering none of those lines have been used on a PC for 15+ years, I wouldnt even guess at whether they are operational on a modern PC. I do a LOT of rs232 in my line of work and have not used hardware flow control in my whole professional career! Wow...hardware flow control seemed so critical b...
