Any other native hardware to try? SGC?

No, the Q68 is the first hardware "QL" that I've owned since I had a real QL a very long time ago. Since then I've only used software emulations.

Re: Q68 New users and general usage thread

The only real obstacle was getting the FAT partition right. Just for completeness: The FAT16 partition, which Derek apparently has added, is not required for a standard Q68 card. A single partition FAT32 formatted card is fine. The manual contains information on suitable software to create it. Yes,...

Re: Q68 and Easymenu

Hi Daniel, Easyptr 4 will probably default to run in a Hi-Colour mode. Have you tried the Q68 Hi-Colour modes. DISP_MODE 6 512 x 384 is the fastest Hi-Colour mode. I do not have any Q68 to try this out... all sold. If there is a problem with the Q68 SMSQ/E, send tge destails of the problem to me vi...

Q68 and Easymenu

Hi all, Has anuone tried running Easymenu (from EasyPtr 4) on the Q68? It seems very reluctant to run. When attempting to run it, it seems to hang for a while, and then shows up in the task list with no display. I have not been able to get it to run from this state. The only way I've managed to get ...

Re: Q68 New users and general usage thread

Once I've worked out how to get everything set up, I'll probably put my QXL.WIN file from QPC2 on the SD card and boot from that. Good luck. If you had not used many PC specific functions, it should be easy. I was able to set up my own SD card with very little trouble. The only real obstacle was ge...

Re: Q68 New users and general usage thread

Hi all, Some minor niggles and a question, none of which detract from the Q68's overall awesomeness. - The Q68_SMSQ.WIN disk image file is not in fact configured by default as WIN8_, as mentioned in the manual, because in the configuraton block the card is configured as "none" instead of &...

Re: Q68 New users and general usage thread

After that, I should be able to boot QPC2 from the SD Card too, I suppose, and run an identical system on both environments. Yes, but your bootfile might need to check if it runs on hardware or emulation. Especially huge highcolour resolutions are not very suitable for the Q68. True, but 1920x1080 ...
